Top University of Tennessee alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Volunteers players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Josh Richardson (6'6''-G-93, graduated '15, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Miami Heat (25-29) in their game last Sunday. Despite his very good performance the Miami Heat (25-29) was edged 120-118 at home by the Golden State Warriors. Richardson was the top scorer with 37 points. He also added 5 passes in 37 minutes. Richardson has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.4ppg, 3.7rpg, 3.8apg and 1.1spg.

   #2. Kevin Punter (6'2''-G-93, graduated '16, plays in Italy) was not able to help Virtus Bologna (10-9) in their last game. Despite Punter's very good performance Virtus Bologna was badly defeated 87-70 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) Vanoli Cremona. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Punter also added 4 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It's Punter's first year with the team. Punter has relatively good stats this season 14.7ppg, 2.9rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg in 19 games he played so far.

   #3. Tobias Harris (6'9''-F-92, graduated '11, currently in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Philadelphia 76ers' victory against the Los Angeles Lakers (28-28) crushing them 143-120 in the NBA last Sunday. Harris scored 22 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 29 minutes. It was his first game for Philadelphia 76ers this season. His team have a solid 36-20 record this season.

   #4. Jordan McRae (6'6''-G/F-91, graduated '14, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Washington Wizards (24-32) in their last game. Despite McRae's very good performance the Washington Wizards (24-32) lost 129-137 in Atlanta to the Hawks. He scored 20 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks. This year McRae averages 4.4ppg and 1.3rpg in 16 games.

   #5. Dominic Woodson (6'11''-C-95, graduated '15, plays in Argentina) couldn't help Argentino (3-11) in their game last Sunday. Despite his good performance Argentino was badly defeated 93-77 on their home court in Junin by the much higher-ranked Comunicaciones (#12). Woodson recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting the same number of rebounds in 29 minutes. This season Woodson averages 6.7ppg and 6.9rpg.

   #6. Experienced Tyler Smith (6'7''-F-86, graduated '10, currently in Israel) couldn't help Elitzur Ironi Ashkelon in their game against Ramat Gan in the Israeli National League (second division), despite his very good performance on Tuesday night. Smith had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 17 rebounds. He also added 4 assists and 2 blocks. But his team was edged 84-82. Smith has relatively good stats this year 14.3ppg, 9.5rpg and 1.9apg in eight games.

   #7. Scotty Hopson (6'7''-F/G-89, graduated '11, plays pro in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Oklahoma City Blue in their game against the Iowa Wolves in the NBA G League. Despite his very good performance in Tuesday night's game Hopson was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 32 minutes. This season Hopson has very high stats. He averages 17.5ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.6apg.

   #8. Devon Baulkman (6'5''-G/F-91, graduated '16, plays in the NBA G League) led Westchester Knicks to a victory over the Canton Charge 112-96 in the NBA G League in Friday night's game. Baulkman was MVP of the game. He recorded 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. This year Baulkman averages 7.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.1apg in 28 games.

   #9. Chris Lofton (6'2''-G-86, graduated '08, currently in South Korea) contributed to a SK Knights' victory against the fourth-ranked LG Sakers 84-72 in the South Korean KBL last Saturday. He scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in a mere 19 minutes. Lofton has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.2apg.

   #10. Armani Moore (6'4''-F-94, graduated '16, plays pro in Australia) couldn't help New Zealand Breakers in their game against United in the Australian NBL. Moore recorded 7 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. His team lost 102-111. This year Moore averages 6.9ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.5apg in 22 games.
