Best performed former Murray State University players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Racers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Terrell Miller Jr. (6'8''-F-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Japan) could not help Hiroshima Dragonflies (26-13) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the third-placed Hiroshima Dragonflies (26-13) lost 91-98 on the road to the lower-ranked (#3) Cyberdyne IR in the West group. Miller Jr. had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 6 assists and 3 steals in 40 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Miller Jr.'s first season in pro basketball. Miller Jr. has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 22.0ppg, 11.2rpg and 4.7apg in six games he played so far.

   #2. Bryce Jones (6'0''-PG-94, graduated '17, plays in Montenegro) led Ulcinj to a victory over the ninth-ranked Primorje 1945 (2-8) 80-74 in the Montenegrin Erste Liga on Saturday night. Jones was MVP of the game. He recorded 23 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!); not bad, considering it's only Jones' second season in pro basketball. KK Ulcinjska Rivijera Ulcinj (8-4) is placed third in the Erste Liga. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Jones has very high stats. He averages 17.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 7.1apg and 2.4spg. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

   #3. Isaiah Canaan (6'0''-PG-91, graduated '13, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA was not able to help the Minnesota Timberwolves (25-30) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Minnesota Timberwolves (25-30) lost 117-122 in New Orleans to the Pelicans. Canaan scored 12 points and added 5 passes in 31 minutes. It was Timberwolves' fourth consecutive loss in a row. This year Canaan averages 6.0ppg and 3.6apg in five games.

   #4. Tony Easley (6'9''-C-87, graduated '10, plays pro in Romania) was not able to secure a victory for Cluj Napoca (13-5) in their game against Timisoara (8-9) in the Romanian Liga Nationala. Despite his good performance on Sunday night He scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. This season Easley averages 9.0ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.2apg.

   #5. Experienced Danero Thomas (6'7''-F-86, graduated '12, plays in Iceland) couldn't help Tindastoll (12-6) in their game against Grindavik (8-10) in the Icelandic Dominos League, despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game. Thomas scored 16 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 23 minutes. But Tindastoll lost 96-100 on the opponent's court to the lower-ranked (#7) Grindavik. It was Tindastoll's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Thomas has relatively good stats this year 13.9ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.9apg and 1.9spg in 18 games. He is a naturalized Icelandic.

   #6. Jonathan Stark (6'0''-G-95, graduated '18, currently in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Iowa Wolves in their game against the Delaware Blue Coats in the NBA G League. Despite his good performance last Saturday He scored 11 points and added 5 assists. Stark has relatively good stats this season 12.6ppg, 3.3rpg, 5.3apg and 1.1spg.

   #7. Brandon Garrett (6'9''-F-90, graduated '13, plays pro in Switzerland) couldn't help Boncourt in their game against Fribourg in the Swiss SBL, despite his very good performance on Saturday night. He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Garrett also added 3 passes in 27 minutes. But his team was crushed by 22 points 93-71. Garrett has very impressive stats this year 17.4ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.3apg in 14 games.

   #8. Wayne Langston (6'7''-F-93, graduated '16, plays in Israel) contributed to a Maccabi Raanana's victory against the 12th-ranked Hasharon 95-84 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Tuesday night. Langston scored 12 points, made 5 passes and 4 steals. This season Langston has very high stats. He averages 17.5ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg.

   #9. Ed Horton (6'1''-PG-85, graduated '07, currently in Canada) helped Kitchener-Waterloo Titans win their game against the Cape Breton Highlanders 101-91 in the NBL Canada in Sunday night's game. Horton recorded 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 40 minutes. Horton has very impressive stats this year 17.5ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg in 17 games. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
