Top University of Cincinnati alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bearcats alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Sean Kilpatrick (6'4''-G-90, graduated '14, plays pro in Greece) could not help Panathinaikos (9-13) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Panathinaikos was badly defeated 85-66 on the road by the leading Fenerbahce. Kilpatrick was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 3 steals in 29 minutes. Kilpatrick has relatively good stats this year 11.5ppg, 1.5rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5spg in four games he played so far.

   #2. Dion Dixon (6'3''-PG-89, graduated '12, plays in Argentina) led Obras Basket to a victory over the seventh-ranked Boca Juniors (9-7) 85-78 in a derby game in the Argentinian La Liga last Wednesday. Dixon was MVP of the game. He scored 39 points (!!!). Obras Basket Buenos Aires (8-6) is placed third in the La Liga. It's Dixon's first season with the team. Dixon has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 18.3ppg, 2.1rpg and 2.1apg.

   #3. Cheikh Mbodj (6'10''-C-87, graduated '13, currently in Poland), who plays in the Polish EBL was not able to help Polski Cukier Torun (15-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Polski Cukier Torun lost 80-89 in Wloclawek to the lower-ranked (#4) Anwil. Mbodj was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 5 rebounds and 2 blocks in 30 minutes. It was Polski Cukier Torun's first loss after six consecutive victories. Mbodj has relatively good stats this year 11.7ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.8bpg in 18 games.

   #4. Experienced Adam Hrycaniuk (6'9''-C-84, graduated '08, plays pro in Poland) contributed to a Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora's victory against the closely-ranked Avtodor (6-10) 108-100 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora (4-11) is placed 11th in the VTB United League. It's Hrycaniuk's sixth season with the team. This year Hrycaniuk averages 6.2ppg and 4.2rpg.

   #5. Lance Stephenson (6'5''-G/F-90, graduated '10, plays in the NBA) helped Los Angeles Lakers edge the Boston Celtics (35-21) 129-128 in the NBA last Thursday. He scored 14 points in a mere 17 minutes. The Los Angeles Lakers have 28-28 record this season. Stephenson has relatively good stats this year 7.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.1apg in 53 games.

   #6. Deonta Vaughn (6'1''-G-86, graduated '10, currently in Cyprus), who plays in the Cypriot Division A was not able to secure a victory for Apoel in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance Apoel was defeated 75-67 in Larnaca by the leading AEK Larnaca. Vaughn was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 boards, passed 5 assists and added 3 steals. This season Vaughn averages 9.9ppg, 2.8rpg and 4.7apg.

   #7. Yancy Gates (6'9''-C/F-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Mexico) helped Abejas de Guanajuato win their game against the third-ranked Aaguacateros crushing them 98-78 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) in Tuesday night's game. Gates recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks in 23 minutes. Gates has very impressive stats this year 16.2ppg, 8.2rpg, 2.4apg and 1.5bpg in 24 games.

   #8. Justin Jackson (6'9''-C/F-90, graduated '14, plays in Cyprus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Deonta Vaughn and both played together in the last Cypriot Division A game. Jackson couldn't help Apoel in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Apoel was defeated 75-67 in Larnaca by the leading AEK Larnaca. Jackson scored 12 points and had 4 steals. Jackson has relatively good stats this season 12.0ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.9apg, 1.9bpg and 1.6spg.

   #9. Immanuel McElroy (6'5''-G-80, graduated '02, currently in Germany) helped Science City Jena edge the ninth-ranked Braunschweig 85-83 in the German BBL on Saturday night. McElroy scored 7 points in 20 minutes. This year McElroy averages 6.1ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.7apg in 18 games.

   #10. Kyle Washington (6'9''-F-93, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA G League) helped Sioux Falls Skyforce win their game against the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario 135-120 in the NBA G League in Friday night's game. Washington recorded 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. This season Washington averages 4.3ppg and 3.3rpg.
