Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Terrapins players who continue their career in pro basketball.

#1. Haukur Palsson (6'6''-SF-92, graduated '11, plays pro in France) could not help JSF Nanterre (12-8) in their game last Saturday. Despite his very good performance JSF Nanterre was defeated 87-81 on the road by the second-ranked JDA Dijon. Palsson was the top scorer with 20 points in 26 minutes. This season Palsson averages 8.9ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.7apg.

#2. Jake Layman (6'9''-G/F-94, graduated '16, plays in the NBA) was not able to help the Portland Trail Blazers (33-22) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Portland Trail Blazers (33-22) lost 108-118 in Miami to the Heat. Layman was the second best scorer with 25 points. He also added 8 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Layman's third season in pro basketball. Layman has relatively good stats this year 7.7ppg and 2.9rpg in 43 games he played so far.

#3. Kevin Huerter (6'7''-G-98, graduated '18, currently in the NBA) was the major contributor in an Atlanta Hawks' victory against the Washington Wizards (24-32) 137-129 in the NBA last Monday. He scored 19 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 32 minutes; not bad, considering it's only Huerter's first season in pro basketball. The Atlanta Hawks have rather weak 18-38 record this season. Huerter has relatively good stats this year 9.4ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.8apg.

#4. Experienced D.J. Strawberry (6'5''-SG-85, graduated '07, plays pro in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Gran Canaria (8-9) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Gran Canaria lost 85-90 at home to the league outsider (#18) Gipuzkoa. Strawberry was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 passes. It was Gran Canaria's first loss after three consecutive victories. Strawberry has relatively good stats this year 10.2ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.6apg in 19 games. He is a naturalized Cameroonian.

#5. Ekenechukwu Ibekwe (6'10''-C-85, graduated '07, plays in France) couldn't help Levallois (10-10) in their game last Saturday. Despite his very good performance Levallois was defeated 80-69 in Le Mans by the lower-ranked Le Mans (#12). Ibekwe was the second best scorer with 19 points. He also added 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. This season Ibekwe averages 6.9ppg and 4.1rpg. He is a naturalized Nigerian.

#6. Jin-Soo Choi (6'8''-C/F-89, graduated '11, currently in South Korea) led Goyang Orions to a victory against the closely-ranked KT Sonicboom 95-83 in the South Korean KBL last Saturday. He scored 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Choi has relatively good stats this year 14.0ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg in 43 games.

#7. Alex Len (7'1''-C-93, graduated '13, plays pro in the NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kevin Huerter. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Len couldn't help the Atlanta Hawks (18-38) in their game last Sunday. Despite his very good performance the Atlanta Hawks were badly defeated 124-108 in Orlando by the Magic. Len was the top scorer with 16 points in a mere 19 minutes. Len has relatively good stats this season 10.0ppg and 5.8rpg.

#8. Melo Trimble (6'3''-G-95, graduated '18, plays in Australia) led Cairns Taipans to a victory over the closely-ranked Bullets 79-68 in the Australian NBL in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Trimble scored 23 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Trimble has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 22.6ppg, 3.7rpg, 4.4apg and 1.2spg in 26 games.

#9. James Gist (6'9''-C/F-86, graduated '08, currently in Greece) couldn't help Panathinaikos in their game against Fenerbahce in the Euroleague. He recorded only 4 points in 21 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 19 points 85-66. This season Gist averages 7.9ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.1apg.

#10. Robert Carter (6'9''-F-94, graduated '16, plays pro in Turkey) couldn't help Afyon Belediyespor (1-15) in their last game. Despite Carter's very good performance Afyon Belediyespor was crushed 95-74 in Bursa by the higher-ranked (#3) Tofas. He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Carter also added 4 passes. This year Carter averages 9.8ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.8apg in four games.
