Here is the weekly review of the top performing Monarchs alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Jonathan Arledge (6'9''-F-91, graduated '15, plays pro in Latvia) led his Latvian team Ventspils to a victory against the closely-ranked Sidigas AV (7-7) 106-102 in the Basketball Champions League last Tuesday. He scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 25 minutes. BK Ventspils (6-8) is placed 14th in group A. The Regular Season already ended in the Basketball Champions League. It's Arledge's first season with the team. Arledge has relatively good stats this year 12.1ppg and 5.2rpg in 13 games he played so far.

#2. Kent Bazemore (6'5''-G/F-89, graduated '12, plays in the NBA) could not help the Atlanta Hawks (18-38) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Bazemore's good performance the Atlanta Hawks (18-38) were defeated 129-120 on the road by the Charlotte Hornets. He recorded 13 points. It's Bazemore's fifth season with the team. Bazemore has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 13.3ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.4apg and 1.6spg.

#3. Franklin Hassell (6'9''-F/C-88, graduated '11, currently in France) contributed to a Cholet Basket's victory against the closely-ranked JL Bourg (16-4) 89-82 in the French Jeep ELITE in Saturday night's game. Hassell scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a mere 16 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Cholet Basket (19-1) is placed first in the Jeep ELITE. It was his team's 18th consecutive victory in a row. It's Hassell's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.4ppg and 7.8rpg in 17 games.

#4. Experienced Alexander Loughton (6'9''-F/C-83, graduated '06, plays pro in Australia) was the major contributor in a Cairns Taipans' victory against the closely-ranked Bullets (13-14) 79-68 in the Australian NBL last Saturday. He scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Cairns Taipans (5-21) closes the standings in the NBL. But the situation may improve as they ended a series of four consecutive loses. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Loughton averages 5.8ppg and 2.8rpg.

#5. Chris Cooper (6'9''-C/F-90, graduated '12, plays in Romania) helped Sibiu win their game against the third-ranked Craiova (11-7) 77-68 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Saturday night. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 26 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group Red. BC CSU Sibiu (14-4) is placed first. This year Cooper averages 7.3ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.1apg in 18 games.

#6. Brandan Stith (6'7''-F-94, graduated '18, currently in Belgium) was not able to help Stella Artois Leuven Bears in their game against Belfius Mons-Hainaut in the Belgian Euromillions League. Stith recorded 8 points and blocked 3 shots. His team was defeated 75-71. Stith has relatively good stats this season 10.8ppg and 9.4rpg.

#7. Valdas Vasylius (6'8''-F-83, graduated '07, plays pro in Lithuania) was not able to secure a victory for Nevezis in their game against Rytas in the Lithuanian LKL. Vasylius recorded 5 points in 8 minutes. His team was edged 75-74. This year Vasylius averages 4.3ppg and 2.3rpg in 20 games.

#8. Denzell Taylor (6'7''-F-94, graduated '17, plays in Canada) couldn't help the Moncton Magic in their game against the Saint John Riptide in the NBL Canada. He cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. Taylor recorded only 2 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. His team was defeated 90-83. This season Taylor averages 4.3ppg and 2.3rpg.
