Best performed former Stanford University players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Cardinal alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Brook Lopez (7'0''-C-88, graduated '08, plays pro in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Milwaukee Bucks' victory against the Dallas Mavericks (26-29) 122-107 in the NBA last Friday. He scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 27 minutes. The Milwaukee Bucks have a solid 41-14 record this season. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Lopez's first year with the team. Lopez has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 12.3ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.1apg and 2.1bpg in 55 games he played so far.

   #2. Rosco Allen (6'10''-PF-93, graduated '16, plays in Japan) led Shimane Susanoo Magic to a victory over the fifth-ranked Bambitious Nara (10-28) 89-80 in the Japanese B2 League on Sunday night. Allen was MVP of the game. He scored 28 points (!!!), had 7 rebounds and dished 6 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Allen's third season in pro basketball. Shimane Susanoo Magic (29-10) is placed first in West group. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. This season Allen has very high stats. He averages 22.3ppg, 9.4rpg, 5.5apg and 1.4spg.

   #3. Chasson Randle (6'2''-PG-93, graduated '15, currently in the NBA) contributed to a Washington Wizards' victory against the Chicago Bulls (13-43) 134-125 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. Randle recorded 20 points in 25 minutes. The Washington Wizards have 24-32 record this season. This year Randle averages 6.1ppg, 1.3rpg and 2.2apg in 26 games.

   #4. Robin Lopez (7'0''-C/F-88, graduated '08, plays pro in the NBA) faced previously mentioned Chasson Randle in the NBA last game. Lopez could not help the Chicago Bulls (13-43) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the Chicago Bulls (13-43) were defeated 134-125 on the road by the Washington Wizards. Lopez recorded 18 points and blocked 2 blocks. This season Lopez averages 6.6ppg and 3.0rpg.

   #5. Dwight Powell (6'11''-F-91, graduated '14, plays in the NBA) helped Dallas Mavericks win their game against the Charlotte Hornets (27-28) 99-93 in the NBA on Wednesday night. He had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 12 rebounds. Powell also added 2 blocks in 27 minutes. The Dallas Mavericks have 26-29 record this season. It's Powell's fourth year with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 8.6ppg and 4.3rpg in 50 games.

   #6. Josh Owens (6'9''-C-88, graduated '12, currently in Israel) managed to help Hapoel Jerusalem to win against the sixth-ranked JDA Dijon 85-83 in the Basketball Champions League in Wednesday night's game. Owens scored only 2 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. This season he averages 7.1ppg and 7.4rpg.

   #7. Marcus Allen (6'3''-G-94, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA G League) was the main contributor in a 3-point South Bay Lakers' victory against the Oklahoma City Blue 113-110 in the NBA G League last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. Allen scored 20 points in 28 minutes. This year he averages 7.9ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.1apg in 28 games.

   #8. Josh Huestis (6'7''-F-91, graduated '14, plays in the NBA G League) was not able to help the Austin Spurs (16-20) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Huestis' very good performance the Austin Spurs (#3) were defeated 98-89 in Salt Lake City by the Stars. He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Huestis also added 2 shots. This season he averages 5.7ppg and 3.1rpg.

   #9. Dorian Pickens (6'5''-G/F, graduated '18, currently in Belgium), who plays in the Belgian Euromillions League was not able to secure a victory for Hubo Limburg United (6-10) in their last game. Despite Pickens' good performance Hubo Limburg United lost 87-102 in Charleroi to the higher-ranked (#4) Spirou. He recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. This year Pickens averages 8.6ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.1apg in nine games.

   #10. Anthony Brown (6'7''-G/F-92, graduated '15, plays pro in the NBA G League) helped Lakeland Magic win their game against the Maine Red Claws crushing them 130-101 in the NBA G League last Tuesday. Brown recorded 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. He has relatively good stats this season 13.5ppg, 5.4rpg and 2.5apg.
