Best performed former Georgetown University players in pro basketball in last week games

We bring you last week's top former Hoyas players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Jeff Green (6'9''-F-86, graduated '07, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Washington Wizards (24-32) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Washington Wizards (24-32) lost 129-137 on the road to the Atlanta Hawks. Green was the second best scorer with 26 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 36 minutes. It's Green's first season with the team. Green has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 12.4ppg, 4.5rpg and 2.0apg in 54 games he played so far.

   #2. Henry Sims (6'10''-C-90, graduated '12, plays in Italy) led Virtus Roma to a 1-point victory over the tenth-ranked Novipiu Casale (11-10) 77-76 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) on Sunday night. Sims was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 15 rebounds. Sims also added 3 assists and 2 blocks (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Acea Virtus Roma (16-5) is placed first in West group. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This season Sims has very high stats. He averages 20.3ppg, 11.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.8bpg.

   #3. Chris Wright (6'1''-PG-89, graduated '11, currently in Italy) led Alma TR to a victory over the 12th-ranked Germani BR (8-11) 85-77 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Wright scored 27 points (!!!) and added 5 passes (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line) in 27 minutes. Alma-Agenzia Per Il Lavoro Trieste (9-10) is placed eighth in the Serie A. It's Wright's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.0ppg, 2.9rpg and 4.4apg in 16 games.

   #4. Mikael Hopkins (6'9''-F-93, graduated '15, plays pro in Bulgaria) was not able to help Balkan (3-3) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the first-placed Balkan (3-3) was badly defeated 105-88 in Sofia by the lower-ranked Levski Lukoil (#4) in the group J of FIBA Europe Cup. Hopkins was the second best scorer with 19 points. He also added 9 rebounds. There are only two games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. It's Hopkins' first season with the team. Hopkins has relatively good stats this year 14.6ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.1apg and 1.9bpg.

   #5. Jason Clark (6'2''-G-90, graduated '12, plays in Germany) was the major contributor in a Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt's victory against one of league's weakest teams Crailsheim Merlins (3-16) 77-69 in the German BBL on Sunday night. Clark recorded 20 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 28 minutes. Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt (7-10) is placed 13th in the BBL. Clark has relatively good stats this year 12.9ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.3apg in 15 games.

   #6. Markel Starks (6'2''-G-91, graduated '14, currently in Poland) contributed to a Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora's victory against the closely-ranked Avtodor 108-100 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. Starks recorded 13 points and added 5 passes. Starks has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg, 1.9rpg and 5.0apg.

   #7. Otto Porter (6'8''-F-93, graduated '13, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Chicago Bulls (13-43) in their last game. Despite Porter's very good performance the Chicago Bulls lost 125-134 in Washington to the Wizards. He recorded 17 points in 34 minutes. Porter has very impressive stats this year 17.5ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.5apg in two games.

   #8. Greg Monroe (6'11''-C-90, graduated '10, plays in the NBA) helped Toronto Raptors win their game against the Philadelphia 76ers 119-107 in the NBA on Tuesday night. He scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. This season Monroe averages 4.8ppg and 4.1rpg.

   #9. Rodney Pryor (6'5''-G-92, graduated '17, currently in the NBA G League), who plays in the NBA G League couldn't help the Raptors 905 Missisauga (21-13) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Raptors 905 Missisauga (#2) was edged 99-98 in Portland by the Maine Red Claws. Pryor scored 17 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 32 minutes. Pryor has relatively good stats this year 11.2ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.2apg in 24 games.

   #10. Joshua Smith (6'10''-C-92, graduated '15, plays pro in Japan) helped Toyama Grouses win their game against the fourth-ranked Osaka Evessa crushing them 85-50 in the Japanese B League last Saturday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 12 rebounds. Smith also added 3 assists and 3 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). This season Smith has very high stats. He averages 19.0ppg, 10.8rpg, 3.2apg and 1.2spg.
