Top Wake Forest University alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Demon Deacons players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Konstantinos Mitoglou (6'10''-PF-96, graduated '18, plays pro in Greece) was the major contributor in Panathinaikos' victory against the tenth-ranked Lavrio (4-12) crushing them 80-55 in the Greek A1 in Monday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds in 23 minutes. Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens (15-0) is placed first in the A1. So far his team won all fifteen games in the Regular Season. This year Mitoglou averages 6.6ppg and 4.9rpg in 14 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Chris Paul (6'0''-PG-85, graduated '05, plays in the NBA) could not help the Houston Rockets (32-23) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the Houston Rockets (32-23) were defeated 117-112 on the road by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Paul recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 9 assists. Paul has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 7.9apg and 2.1spg.

   #3. Jamaal Levy (6'9''-F/C-83, graduated '05, currently in Argentina) led Bahia Basket to a victory against the second-ranked San Lorenzo (11-1) 82-78 in the Argentinian La Liga on Friday night. Levy scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 21 minutes. Bahia Basket (4-10) is placed 17th in the La Liga. It's Levy's first season with the team. This year he averages 8.9ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.6spg in 14 games.

   #4. John Collins (6'10''-PF-97, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to help the Atlanta Hawks (18-37) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Collins' very good performance the Atlanta Hawks (18-37) were defeated 129-120 in Charlotte by the Hornets. He was the top scorer with 21 points. Collins also added 5 rebounds. This season Collins has very high stats. He averages 19.4ppg, 9.9rpg and 2.1apg. Collins is a naturalized Virgin Islander.

   #5. James Johnson (6'9''-F-87, graduated '09, plays in the NBA) contributed to a Miami Heat's victory against the Portland Trail Blazers (33-21) 118-108 in the NBA last Tuesday. Johnson scored 15 points, had 6 rebounds, passed 3 assists and added 3 blocks in 27 minutes. The Miami Heat has 25-28 record this season. Johnson has relatively good stats this year 7.8ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.4apg in 37 games.

   #6. C.J. Harris (6'3''-SG-91, graduated '13, currently in France) led Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez to a victory over the closely-ranked JDA Dijon 63-59 in the French Jeep ELITE on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Harris recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. This season Harris has very high stats. He averages 17.7ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.0apg.

   #7. Jeff Teague (6'2''-PG-88, graduated '09, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Minnesota Timberwolves (25-30) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Minnesota Timberwolves lost 117-122 in New Orleans to the Pelicans. Teague scored 12 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in a mere 17 minutes. Teague has very impressive stats this year 11.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 8.0apg and 1.1spg in 32 games.

   #8. Codi Miller-McIntyre (6'3''-G-94, graduated '16, plays in Russia) helped his Russian team Zenit Sankt Petersburg win their game against the league outsider Tsmoki-Minsk 79-68 in the VTB United League last Sunday. He recorded 7 points and added 5 passes. This season Miller-McIntyre averages 7.9ppg, 2.4rpg and 4.9apg.

   #9. Al-Farouq Aminu (6'9''-F-90, graduated '10, currently in the NBA) helped Portland Trail Blazers win their game against the San Antonio Spurs 127-118 in the NBA on Thursday night. Aminu scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line) in 22 minutes. Aminu has relatively good stats this year 9.4ppg, 7.9rpg and 1.2apg in 54 games. He is a naturalized Nigerian.

   #10. Ishmael Smith (6'0''-PG-88, graduated '10, plays pro in the NBA) helped Detroit Pistons win their game against the New York Knicks 120-103 in the NBA in Friday night's game. He scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Smith has relatively good stats this season 8.5ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.9apg.
