Best performed former The University of Nevada players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Wolf Pack alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Nick Fazekas (6'11''-F/C-85, graduated '07, plays pro in Japan) led Kawasaki Brave Thunders to a victory over the fifth-ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (17-23) 84-75 in the Japanese B League last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. Fazekas had a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 15 rebounds. He also added 6 assists and 2 blocks in 37 minutes. Kawasaki Brave Thunders (24-16) are placed second in Central group. It's Fazekas' seventh season with the team. Fazekas has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 22.1ppg, 11.0rpg, 3.1apg and 1.3spg in 36 games he played so far. Fazekas is a naturalized Japanese.

   #2. Javale McGee (7'0''-C-88, graduated '08, plays in the NBA) contributed to a 1-point Los Angeles Lakers' victory against the Boston Celtics (35-21) 129-128 in the NBA on Thursday night. McGee scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. The Los Angeles Lakers have 28-27 record this season. McGee has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg, 6.8rpg and 2.0bpg.

   #3. Deonte Burton (6'0''-PG-91, graduated '14, currently in the NBA G League), who plays in the NBA G League could not help the Salt Lake City Stars (17-18) in their last game. Despite Burton's very good performance the Salt Lake City Stars (#2) lost 98-104 on the road to the Erie Bay Hawks. He was the top scorer with 27 points. Burton also added 8 passes in 42 minutes. It was Stars' third consecutive loss in a row. It's Burton's first season with the team. This year he averages 5.3ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.4apg in 29 games. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

   #4. Dario Hunt (6'9''-F-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Belgium) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Liege Basket (10-7) crushing them 85-55 in the Belgian Euromillions League last Friday. Hunt recorded 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Proximus Spirou Charleroi (4-0) is placed second in the Euromillions League. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. It's Hunt's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.4apg.

   #5. Jerry Evans (6'8''-F-90, graduated '14, plays in Cyprus) was not able to help Enosis Neon Paralimni in their last game. Despite his very good performance Enosis Neon Paralimni lost 64-69 in Strovolos to the leading Keravnos. Evans had a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 11 rebounds in 30 minutes. Evans has relatively good stats this year 14.0ppg and 8.8rpg in five games.

   #6. Michael Perez (6'3''-G-91, graduated '15, currently in Mexico) was not able to secure a victory for Aaguacateros in their game against Abejas in the Mexican LNBP (second division). Perez recorded 6 points. His team was badly defeated by 20 points 98-78. This season Perez averages 4.4ppg and 1.1rpg.

   #7. Marquez Letcher-Ellis (6'7''-F-97, graduated '18, plays pro in Lebanon) couldn't help Al Moutahed Tripoli in their game against Atlas Ferzol in the Lebanese LBL. He recorded only 4 points and blocked 3 blocks in 7 minutes on the court. His team lost 74-84. This year Letcher-Ellis averages 2.5ppg and 2.0rpg in four games.

   #8. Brandon Fields (6'4''-G-88, graduated '10, plays in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (15-18) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Fields' very good performance the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (#3) was defeated 120-114 in Des Moines by the Iowa Wolves. He was the second best scorer with 30 points. Fields also added 4 rebounds and dished 7 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Fields has relatively good stats this season 10.2ppg, 2.0rpg and 4.5apg.

   #9. Malik Story (6'5''-F/G-90, graduated '13, currently in Canada) couldn't help the Island Storm in their game against the Halifax Hurricanes in the NBL Canada. He recorded 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 25 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 101-83. Story has relatively good stats this year 10.2ppg, 2.0rpg and 4.5apg in 33 games.
