Best performed former Providence College players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Friars alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Ben Bentil (6'9''-F-95, graduated '16, plays pro in Greece) led Peristeri GS to a 1-point victory over the closely-ranked Holargos (8-8) 76-75 in the Greek A1 last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Bentil recorded 20 points and had 3 steals in 29 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Peristeri GS Athens (11-5) is placed fifth in the A1. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. It's Bentil's first year with the team. Bentil has relatively good stats this season 10.4ppg and 5.4rpg in 16 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Ghanian.

   #2. Kris Dunn (6'4''-G-94, graduated '16, plays in the NBA) could not help the Chicago Bulls (13-43) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the Chicago Bulls (13-43) were defeated 125-120 on the road by the New Orleans Pelicans. Dunn recorded 18 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Dunn has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 12.2ppg, 4.2rpg, 6.4apg and 1.4spg.

   #3. Morris Curry (5'11''-G-87, graduated '10, currently in Romania), who plays in the Romanian Liga Nationala was not able to help Craiova (11-7) in their last game. Despite Curry's good performance the third-placed Craiova (11-7) lost 68-77 on the opponent's court to the leading Sibiu in the Group Red. He had a double-double by scoring 14 points and making 10 passes. Curry also added 4 rebounds (made all of his six free throws) in 35 minutes. It's Curry's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.0ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.4apg and 1.1spg in 17 games.

   #4. Rodney Bullock (6'8''-F-94, graduated '18, plays pro in Hungary) was not able to secure a victory for Alba (3-3) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance the second-placed Alba (3-3) was badly defeated 96-80 at home by the lower-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (#3) in the group J of FIBA Europe Cup. Bullock scored 13 points, had 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks. There are only two games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. It's Bullock's first season with the team. This year he averages 8.7ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.3apg.

   #5. Experienced Tuukka Kotti (6'9''-PF-81, graduated '05, plays in Finland) couldn't help Helsinki Seagulls (10-15) in their game against Kauhajoki (18-8) in the Finnish Korisliiga, despite his very good performance last Saturday. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds in 27 minutes. But Helsinki Seagulls lost 75-85 on the opponent's court to the second-ranked Kauhajoki. It was Helsinki Seagulls' third consecutive loss in a row. Kotti has relatively good stats this year 13.9ppg, 9.6rpg, 2.6apg and 1.2spg in 25 games.

   #6. LaDontae Henton (6'6''-F-92, graduated '15, currently in Hungary) couldn't help Atomeromu in their game against Szolnok in the Hungarian A Division. Despite his good performance on Saturday night He scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. This season Henton has very high stats. He averages 15.7ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.7spg.

   #7. Weyinmi Rose (6'5''-G/F-86, graduated '09, plays pro in Puerto Rico) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Leones de Ponce in their game against Libertadores in the Liga Americas. He recorded 5 points in 14 minutes. It was his first game for Leones de Ponce this season. His team was edged 112-109. Rose has also Jamaican citizenship.
