Top Georgia State University alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Panthers players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Willie Clayton (6'8''-F-92, graduated '17, plays pro in United Kingdom) was the major contributor in a 1-point Manchester Giants' victory against the league outsider Worcester Wolves (1-17) 124-123 in the British BBL in Sunday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 32 points and getting 21 rebounds. Clayton also added 4 blocks in 48 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Manchester Giants (9-9) is placed seventh in the BBL. It's Clayton's first year with the team. Clayton has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 18.1ppg, 14.9rpg, 1.6apg and 1.5spg in 18 games he played so far.

   #2. Jeremy Hollowell (6'8''-F-94, graduated '17, plays in the NBA G League) could not help the Erie Bay Hawks (17-15) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Hollowell's very good performance the Erie Bay Hawks (#3) were defeated 114-101 on the road by the Greensboro Swarm. He was the top scorer with 22 points. Hollowell also added 5 assists. This season Hollowell averages 10.0ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.6apg.

   #3. Eric Buckner (6'10''-C-90, graduated '12, currently in France) was not able to help AS Monaco Basket in their game against Rytas (3-3) in the Eurocup. He scored 8 points in 16 minutes. The third-placed AS Monaco Basket (2-4) was crushed 90-68 in Vilnius by the second-ranked Rytas in the group E of Eurocup. It was AS Monaco Basket's third consecutive loss in a row. The Top 16 already ended in the Eurocup. It's Buckner's first season with the team. This year Buckner averages 8.2ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.8bpg in six games.

   #4. Isaiah Williams (6'2''-G-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Bulgaria) led Yambol to a victory over the closely-ranked Academik Plovdiv (7-8) 82-73 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Williams scored 18 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists; not bad, considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Tundja Yambol (5-10) is placed seventh in the NBL. Williams' team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Williams has relatively good stats this season 13.2ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.8apg. Worth to mention Williams played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #5. Ryan Harrow (6'2''-G-91, graduated '15, plays in Greece) contributed to a 1-point Peristeri GS's victory against the closely-ranked Holargos (8-8) 76-75 in the Greek A1 last Saturday. Harrow recorded 6 points in only 11 minutes. Peristeri GS Athens (11-5) is placed fifth in the A1. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. It's Harrow's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.6ppg, 2.4rpg and 5.2apg in 12 games. Harrow is a naturalized Jamaican.

   #6. Manny Atkins (6'7''-F/G-91, graduated '14, currently in France) contributed to an ALM Evreux Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Quimper UJAP 73-68 in the French ProB (second division) on Saturday night. Atkins scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. He has relatively good stats this season 14.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.0apg and 3.0spg.

   #7. Jordan Session (6'8''-F-96, graduated '18, plays pro in Denmark) contributed to an easy victory against the second-ranked Horsens IC 101-84 in the Danish BasketLigaen in Thursday night's game. He scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 21 minutes. This year Session averages 6.4ppg and 7.5rpg in eight games.

   #8. Experienced Leroy Davis (6'7''-F-81, graduated '03, plays in Mexico) managed to help Lenadores de Durango to win against the sixth-ranked Santos 100-93 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) last Thursday. Davis scored only 2 points. This season he averages 3.9ppg and 1.9rpg.

   #9. Kevin Ware (6'2''-G-93, graduated '16, currently in Canada) contributed to a 3-point London Lightning's victory against the Windsor Express 147-144 in the NBL Canada on Thursday night. He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 10 rebounds. Ware also added 8 assists and 5 steals (made all of his six free throws) in 47 minutes. This year he averages 3.9ppg and 1.9rpg in 30 games.

   #10. Curtis Washington (6'10''-F-91, graduated '15, plays pro in Bahrain) was not able to secure a victory for Al-Nweidrat (2-1) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Washington's very good performance the third-placed Al-Nweidrat was edged 80-77 in Muharraq by the second-ranked Al-Hala in the Silver group. He recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 20 rebounds. This season Washington has very high stats. He averages 28.3ppg, 16.8rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5bpg. Washington is a naturalized Guamanian.
