Top Florida Atlantic University alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Owls alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Jeffrey Parmer (6'8''-F-85, graduated '08, plays pro in Japan) could not help Bambitious Nara (10-26) in their game last Sunday. Despite his very good performance the fifth-placed Bambitious Nara (10-26) was defeated 75-70 at home by the leading Kumamoto Volters in the West group. Parmer recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 3 steals in 40 minutes. It's Parmer's first season with the team. Parmer has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 18.1ppg, 7.8rpg, 3.5apg and 1.6spg.

   #2. Ronald Delph (7'0''-C-93, graduated '18, plays in Latvia) was not able to help Rapla (8-10) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Rapla lost 78-82 on the road to the higher-ranked (#5) TalTech. Delph was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 5 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Delph's first season in pro basketball. It's Delph's first year with the team. This season he averages 7.4ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.1apg in 16 games he played so far.

   #3. Adonis Filer (6'5''-G-93, graduated '17, currently in Cyprus), who plays in the Cypriot Division A was not able to secure a victory for Enosis Neon Paralimni in their game last Sunday. Despite his good performance Enosis Neon Paralimni was defeated 69-64 in Strovolos by the leading Keravnos. Filer recorded 11 points and added 6 passes in 34 minutes. Filer has relatively good stats this season 14.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 5.8apg and 2.0spg.

   #4. C.J. Turman (6'9''-C-95, graduated '16, plays pro in Austria) led UBSC Raiffeisen Graz to a victory against the fifth-ranked Timberwolves (3-11) 96-90 in the Austrian A Bundesliga on Thursday night. Turman scored 12 points, had 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks. UBSC Raiffeisen Graz (8-14) is placed second from the bottom (#9) in the A Bundesliga. It was UBSC Raiffeisen Graz's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Turman's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 16.5ppg and 7.7rpg in 22 games.

   #5. Pablo Bertone (6'4''-SG-90, graduated '14, plays in Italy) was the major contributor in a Bertram TRT's victory against the 12th-ranked Pall. Trapani (9-11) 89-82 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Bertone scored 16 points and added 7 passes in 35 minutes. Bertram Tortona (7-13) is placed 14th in West group. This season Bertone has very high stats. He averages 17.8ppg, 1.8rpg, 5.4apg and 1.4spg. Bertone has also Italian passport.

   #6. Greg Gantt (6'2''-G-91, graduated '13, currently in Spain) managed to help Carramimbre CBC Valladolid in a victory against the closely-ranked Palma 80-76 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. He scored only 2 points. Gantt has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg and 1.7rpg in 20 games.

   #7. Dragan Sekelja (7'0''-C-91, graduated '14, plays pro in Bosnia) couldn't help Bosna-Royal in their game against Vogosca in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. Sekelja recorded 9 points in 16 minutes. His team was crushed by 33 points 108-75. This season Sekelja has very high stats. He averages 15.6ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.4bpg.

   #8. William Pfister (6'10''-F-95, graduated '18, plays in France) contributed to an GET Vosges' surprising victory against the sixth-ranked Sorgues BC 83-66 in the French NM1 (third division) in Saturday night's game. Pfister recorded 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. This year Pfister averages 7.3ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.1spg in 22 games.

   #9. Javier Lacunza (6'9''-F/C-94, graduated '16, currently in Spain) led Valle de Egues to a victory over the eighth-ranked Santurtzi 79-75 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. Lacunza recorded 29 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 3 assists in 39 minutes. This season Lacunza has very high stats. He averages 20.6ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg.

   #10. Michael Bell (6'9''-F-82, graduated '05, plays pro in China) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Zhuhai in their game against Mono Vampire in the ASEAN, despite his very good performance last Saturday. Bell had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 3 assists. But his team were crushed by 21 points 113-92. Bell has very impressive stats this year 20.6ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg in 12 games.
