Top Bradley University alumni playing currently pro basketball

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Braves players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Auston Barnes (6'8''-PF-91, graduated '15, plays pro in Sweden) led Sodertalje Kings to a victory over the 11th-ranked Uppsala Basket (0-13) crushing them 97-68 in the Swedish Basketligan on Friday night. He was MVP of the game. Barnes scored 19 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 24 minutes. Sodertalje Kings (22-5) is placed first in the Basketligan. It's Barnes' first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Barnes averages 15.2ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5spg.

   #2. Donte Thomas (6'7''-F-96, graduated '18, plays in Finland) was the main contributor in a KTP Basket Kotka's victory against the closely-ranked BC Nokia (11-15) 94-89 in the Finnish Korisliiga in Friday night's game. Thomas was MVP of the game. He scored 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Thomas' first season in pro basketball. KTP Basket Kotka (16-9) is placed fourth in the Korisliiga. It's Thomas' first year with the team. He has very impressive stats this season 16.1ppg, 9.5rpg and 1.6apg in 25 games he played so far.

   #3. Walter Lemon Jr. (6'3''-G-92, graduated '14, currently in the NBA G League) contributed to a Windy City Bulls' victory against the Capital City Go-Go (18-14) 121-109 in the NBA G League last Tuesday. He was MVP of the game. Lemon Jr. recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and making 10 passes in 31 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group E Central. The Windy City Bulls have 18-16 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Lemon Jr.'s first year with the team. This season he has very high stats. Lemon Jr. averages 18.9ppg, 4.4rpg, 8.0apg and 1.2spg.

   #4. Experienced Marcellus Sommerville (6'7''-F-82, graduated '06, plays pro in France) helped Sluc Nancy Basket Pro win their game against the league leader Chorale de Roanne (13-4) 86-70 in the French ProB (second division) on Saturday night. He scored 11 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Sluc Nancy Basket Pro (12-5) is placed second in the ProB. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Sommerville has very impressive stats this year 16.2ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg in five games.

   #5. Chris Roberts (6'4''-G-88, graduated '10, plays in Italy) helped Remer TVG win their game against the third-ranked Bergamo Bsk (13-7) 86-73 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Thursday night's game. Roberts was MVP of the game. He recorded 24 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 34 minutes. Blu Basket Gruppo Remer Treviglio (11-9) is placed eighth in West group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Roberts' first season with the team. This year Roberts has very high stats. He averages 15.8ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.7apg.
