No. 2 Michigan struggled out of the gate against Binghamton only leading 34-29 at half and stayed close through much of the second half, but behind strong performances from sophomore guard Jordan Poole (6'4''-G-99), sophomore forward Isaiah Livers (6'7''-F-98) and freshman forward Ignas Brazdeikis (6'7''-F/G-99), the Wolverines were able to stay perfect and pull away to win 74-52. Jordan Poole didn't lead all scorers for Michigan, but really was the star with 18 points on 6-of-11-shooting, four assists and two rebounds. He has continued to elevate his play and showed he can carry this team even when things aren't going perfect. Isaiah Livers had another nice game with 17 points on 8-of-10-shooting, three assists and three rebounds. He has really taken to his role of coming off the bench and looks to be an even more complete player following his 11 point, six rebound performance last weekend against Air Force. He also continues to play very well on the defensive side of the floor too. The freshman sensation Ignas Brazdeikis also pitched in 21 points on 9-of-18-shooting with eight boards and an assist. He worked hard getting in the lane and going through contact, which resulted in some easy buckets when they were tough to come by. His deep ball was on hitting all 3 of three-point shots. While Zavier Simpson (6'0''-PG-97) didn't score many, but he did contribute with 10 assists and nine rebounds. He also made his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball creating several turnovers. Senior guard Charles Matthews didn't have his best day with 7 points on 3-of-12-shooting, three rebounds and an assist. While he has been a catalyst for the Wolverines much of the season, he never could find his shot and missed several around the rim.

Barry Brown
Brown and Wade lead Kansas State past No. 20 Oklahoma, 74-61 - 1 day ago
Kansas State guard Barry Brown (6'3''-G-96) didn't need any last-minute heroics this time. After hitting game-winners in the final minute of the Wildcats' previous two games, he helped Kansas State control Oklahoma from start to finish. Brown scored 25 points as Kansas State beat the 20th-ranked Sooners 74-61 on Wednesday night. Brown, coming off his first Big 12 player of the week honor, is averaging 25.7 points during the Wildcats' three-game win streak. "Obviously, Barry's playing at a...   [read more]

No. 4 UVa Basketball Dominates No. 9 Virginia Tech 81-59 - 2 days ago
In the first-ever men's basketball game between UVa and Virginia Tech when both schools were ranked in the Top Ten, the #4 Cavaliers came away with a dominating 81-59 victory against the #9 Hokies on Tuesday night at John Paul Jones Arena. UVa (16-0, 4-0 ACC) made 10-of-14 three-point tries in the 1st half, and jumped out to a 44-22 lead. The Hokies (14-2, 3-1 ACC) were never able to get closer than 14 points in the 2nd half. Virginia head coach Tony Bennett say, "Do you do well what matt...   [read more]
Northern Kentucky ran a football play on a basketball court - 4 days ago
Courtesy of cbssports.com Norse coach John Brannen explains the inspiration behind the play and why NKU ran it when it did. Northern Kentucky athlete Dantez Walton scooped up the ball from the official to set the play in motion, and four teammates -- all scattered unevenly about the baseline, with one on his left and three on his right -- began trotting down the floor as if Wilson had just belted out "hut hut!" and was masterminding a hurry-up offense   [read more]
