Best performed former Stanford University players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Cardinal alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Rosco Allen (6'10''-PF-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Japan) led Shimane Susanoo Magic to a victory over the fourth-ranked Orange Vikings (9-17) 92-82 in the Japanese B2 League last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Allen had a double-double by scoring 38 points and getting 18 rebounds. He also added 7 assists in 39 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Allen's third season in pro basketball. Shimane Susanoo Magic (18-8) is placed third in West group. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Allen has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.6ppg, 9.1rpg, 5.9apg and 1.5spg in 17 games he played so far.

   #2. Josh Owens (6'9''-C-88, graduated '12, plays in Israel) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Lietkabelis (3-6) crushing them 97-70 in the Basketball Champions League on Tuesday night. Owens scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Hapoel Jerusalem (7-2) is placed second in the Basketball Champions League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Owens averages 6.9ppg and 7.0rpg.

   #3. Robin Lopez (7'0''-C/F-88, graduated '08, currently in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Chicago Bulls' victory against the Orlando Magic (14-18) 90-80 in the NBA in Friday night's game. Lopez scored 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. The Chicago Bulls have rather weak 9-25 record this season. This year Lopez averages 5.9ppg and 2.3rpg in 26 games.

   #4. Dwight Powell (6'11''-F-91, graduated '14, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Dallas Mavericks (15-17) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance the Dallas Mavericks (15-17) were edged 121-118 on the road by the Portland Trail Blazers. Powell scored 14 points. It's Powell's fourth season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 8.6ppg and 4.1rpg.

   #5. Brook Lopez (7'0''-C-88, graduated '08, plays in the NBA) was not able to help the Milwaukee Bucks in their game against the Miami Heat (16-16) in the NBA. Lopez recorded 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks in 28 minutes. But the Milwaukee Bucks (22-10) lost 87-94 in Miami to the Heat. Lopez has very impressive stats this year 11.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.2apg and 2.0bpg in 32 games.

   #6. Chasson Randle (6'2''-PG-93, graduated '15, currently in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Washington Wizards in their game against the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. Despite his good performance in Sunday night's game He scored 10 points and added 4 passes. This season Randle averages 6.0ppg and 2.0apg.

   #7. Michael Humphrey (6'9''-C-96, graduated '18, plays pro in Russia) couldn't help Parma in their game against BC Nizhny Novgorod in the VTB United League, despite his very good performance last Sunday. He recorded 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 36 minutes. But his team was edged 100-98. This year Humphrey averages 6.9ppg and 5.9rpg in eight games.

   #8. Anthony Goods (6'3''-G-87, graduated '09, plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the 16th-ranked C'Chartres 95-77 in the French ProB (second division) on Tuesday night. Goods recorded 15 points. Goods has relatively good stats this season 13.0ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.5apg. He is a naturalized Dominican.

   #9. Dorian Pickens (6'5''-G/F, graduated '18, currently in Belgium) couldn't help Hubo Limburg United in their game against Okapi Aalstar in the Belgian Euromillions League, despite his good performance last Saturday. He scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 26 minutes. But his team lost 90-94. This year Pickens averages 7.8ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.6apg in five games.

   #10. Marcus Allen (6'3''-G-94, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA G League) couldn't help the South Bay Lakers in their game against the Greensboro Swarm in the NBA G League. Allen recorded only 4 points. His team were badly defeated by 16 points 106-90 in the NBA G League. This season Allen averages 9.1ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1spg.
