Top University of Georgia alumni playing currently pro basketball

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Bulldogs players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Trey Thompkins (6'10''-PF-90, graduated '11, plays pro in Spain) led Real Madrid to a victory over the tenth-ranked UCAM Murcia (5-7) 80-74 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Thompkins recorded 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 27 minutes. Real Madrid (10-3) is placed third in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Thompkins' fourth season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Thompkins averages 15.5ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5bpg in two games he played so far.

   #2. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (6'5''-G-93, graduated '13, plays in the NBA) could not help the Los Angeles Lakers (19-14) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Caldwell-Pope's very good performance the Los Angeles Lakers (19-14) were badly defeated 128-110 on the road by the Washington Wizards. He was the top scorer with 25 points. Caldwell-Pope also added 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Caldwell-Pope has relatively good stats this season 9.0ppg and 2.5rpg.

   #3. Nemanja Djurisic (6'8''-PF-92, graduated '15, currently in Belgium) was the main contributor in Oostende's surprising victory against the league leader Virtus Bologna (7-2) 77-76 in the Basketball Champions League on Wednesday night. He was MVP of the game. Djurisic scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. Filou Oostende (4-5) is placed seventh in the Basketball Champions League. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Djurisic has relatively good stats this year 14.2ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.3apg in nine games.

   #4. Travis Leslie (6'4''-G-90, graduated '11, plays pro in France) was not able to help Boulazac Basket Dordogne (6-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Boulazac Basket Dordogne was edged 75-72 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Levallois (#5). Leslie was the second best scorer with 15 points. He also added 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. It's Leslie's first season with the team. Leslie has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.8apg.

   #5. Dustin Ware (6'0''-PG-90, graduated '12, plays in Hungary) contributed to a ZTE KK's victory against the closely-ranked PVSK-Veolia (7-5) 92-83 in the Hungarian A Division last Wednesday. Ware scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 35 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Zalakeramia-ZTE KK (7-4) is placed third in the A Division. Ware has very impressive stats this year 17.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 5.5apg in 11 games.

   #6. Terrance Woodbury (6'7''-G-87, graduated '09, currently in Japan), who plays in the Japanese B2 League was not able to secure a victory for Kagawa FA (7-18) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the sixth-placed Kagawa FA were defeated 83-78 in Shimane by the higher-ranked Magic (#3) in the West group. Woodbury was the top scorer with 28 points. He also added 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists. This season Woodbury has very high stats. He averages 22.7ppg, 8.1rpg, 5.0apg and 1.2spg. Worth to mention Woodbury played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #7. Juwan Parker (6'4''-G-94, graduated '18, plays pro in Germany) couldn't help Nuernberg (7-7) in their last game. Despite his good performance Nuernberg lost 69-75 on the opponent's court to the second-ranked Hamburg. Parker recorded 10 points in 17 minutes. This year Parker averages 6.0ppg and 1.5apg in two games.

   #8. John Florveus (6'11''-C-90, graduated '13, plays in Slovakia) helped Nova Ves win their game against the closely-ranked Prievidza 80-73 in the Slovakian SBL last Wednesday. Florveus scored 8 points. Florveus has relatively good stats this season 13.5ppg, 8.6rpg and 2.4bpg. He is a naturalized Haitian.
