Here is the weekly review of the top performing Shockers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Joe Ragland (6'0''-PG-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Serbia) was the major contributor in a Crvena Zvezda's victory against the closely-ranked Galatasaray 100-83 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and making 12 passes. Ragland also added 4 rebounds in 27 minutes. Crvena Zvezda MTS Beogradis placed fourth in group G. Ragland has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.7ppg, 1.7rpg and 6.5apg. Ragland is a naturalized Liberian.

   #2. Garrett Stutz (7'0''-C-90, graduated '12, plays in Japan) led Toyotsu FE to a 2-point victory over the leader Kumamoto Volters (20-6) 85-83 in the Japanese B2 League in Saturday night's game. Stutz was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 13 rebounds. Stutz also added 3 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Central. Toyotsu Fighting Eagles Nagoya (16-10) is placed second. It's Stutz's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 22.6ppg, 13.6rpg and 4.0apg in 25 games he played so far.

   #3. Conner Frankamp (6'1''-PG-95, graduated '18, currently in Bulgaria) led Beroe to a victory against the sixth-ranked Academik Plovdiv (4-6) 85-72 in the Bulgarian NBL last Sunday. He scored 17 points and added 5 assists in 31 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Frankamp's first season in pro basketball. BC Beroe (8-0) is placed first in the NBL. So far his team won all eight games in the Regular Season. It's Frankamp's first year with the team. This season he has very high stats. Frankamp averages 18.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 4.1apg and 1.4spg.

   #4. Fred VanVleet (6'0''-PG-94, graduated '16, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers (8-26) 126-110 in the NBA on Friday night. VanVleet scored 14 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 8 assists; not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. The Toronto Raptors have a solid 25-10 record this season. VanVleet has relatively good stats this year 10.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 4.4apg in 30 games.

   #5. Landry Shamet (6'4''-G-97, graduated '18, plays in the NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the New York Knicks (9-25) crushing them 131-109 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. He recorded 17 points in 22 minutes. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 22-12 record this season. Shamet has relatively good stats this year 8.1ppg and 1.4rpg.

   #6. Gal Mekel (6'3''-PG-88, graduated '08, currently in Russia), who plays in Russia could not help Zenit Sankt Petersburg to beat ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. He recorded 8 points and added 5 passes. His team was edged 84-81. This year Mekel averages 9.5ppg, 2.3rpg and 6.8apg in four games.

   #7. Rashard Kelly (6'7''-F-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Russia) was not able to help Parma (3-7) in their game last Sunday. Despite his good performance Parma was edged 100-98 on the road by the higher-ranked BC Nizhny Novgorod (#9). Kelly recorded 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 27 minutes. Kelly has relatively good stats this season 10.7ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.4apg and 1.1spg.

   #8. Darral Willis (6'9''-F-96, graduated '18, plays in Cyprus) was not able to secure a victory for Keravnos in their game against Apollon in the Cypriot Division A. Willis recorded 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. His team lost 76-82. Willis has relatively good stats this year 14.7ppg and 9.2rpg in 10 games.

   #9. Toure Murry (6'5''-G-89, graduated '12, currently in Italy) couldn't help UCC Piacenza in their game against Bondi Ferrara in the Italian Serie A2 (second division). Despite his very good performance on Sunday night Murry was the top scorer with 23 points. He also added 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 22 minutes. This season Murry has very high stats. He averages 16.0ppg, 4.4rpg, 2.9apg and 1.8spg.

   #10. Darius Carter (6'7''-PF-92, graduated '15, plays pro in Germany) couldn't help BG Goettingen in their game against EWE Baskets in the German BBL. He scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team was badly defeated by 16 points 86-70. This year Carter averages 9.5ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.5apg in 10 games.
