We bring you last week's top former Cougars players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. David Holston (5'6''-PG-86, graduated '09, plays pro in France) could not help JDA Dijon Bourgogne (3-6) in their game last Wednesday. Despite his very good performance JDA Dijon Bourgogne was defeated 101-97 on the road by the higher-ranked Brose Baskets (#3). Holston was the top scorer with 29 points. He also added 6 assists in 31 minutes. It's Holston's first season with the team. Holston has relatively good stats this year 13.9ppg, 1.4rpg, 5.0apg and 1.3spg.

   #2. Experienced Jeleel Akindele (7'1''-C-83, graduated '05, plays in Mexico) was the major contributor in a Fuerza Regia Monterrey's victory against the fourth-ranked Panteras (12-10) 94-76 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) in Saturday night's game. Akindele had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 3 assists. Fuerza Regia Monterrey (15-6) is placed second in North group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Akindele's first season with the team. Akindele has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 19.9ppg, 8.2rpg and 2.0apg in 19 games he played so far.

   #3. Deionte Simmons (6'9''-C-96, graduated '18, currently in Denmark), who plays in the Danish BasketLigaen was not able to help Wolfpack/BMS (3-7) in their game last Saturday. Despite Simmons' very good performance the second-placed Wolfpack/BMS (3-7) was defeated 90-76 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Svendborg (#3) in the ProB group. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Simmons also added 7 rebounds in 23 minutes. It's Simmons' first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Simmons averages 18.3ppg and 7.2rpg.

   #4. Clarke Rosenberg (6'4''-G-93, graduated '15, plays pro in Israel) led Elitzur Kiryat Ata to a 2-point victory against one of league's weakest teams Maccabi Rehovot (3-7) 92-90 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Tuesday night. Rosenberg scored 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Elitzur Kiryat Ata (7-3) is placed third in the National League. It's Rosenberg's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 12.2ppg, 4.4rpg and 2.9apg in 10 games. Rosenberg is a naturalized Israeli.

   #5. Sean Hill (6'2''-G-92, graduated '15, plays in Georgia) was not able to secure a victory for Batumi (2-4) in their game last Wednesday. Despite Hill's good performance Batumi was defeated 83-70 in Tbilisi by the second-ranked TSU-Hyundai. He scored 10 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 7 assists in 30 minutes. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Hill has relatively good stats this season 10.5ppg, 5.3rpg, 6.3apg and 1.5spg.

   #6. Alex Dubovitskiy (6'6''-G/F-94, graduated '18, currently in Kosovo), who plays in the Kosovan Superliga couldn't help Lipjani (2-12) in their last game. Despite his good performance the bottom-ranked Lipjani was crushed 111-70 at home by the second-ranked Rahoveci. Dubovitskiy scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Dubovitskiy has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.1apg and 1.7spg in seven games. Dubovitskiy is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

   #7. Carl Montgomery (6'8''-F-89, graduated '13, plays pro in Latvia) couldn't help Valga-Valka in their game against TalTech in the Latvian LatEstBL. He cannot count it as his best performance. Montgomery scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 17 minutes. His team was crushed by 23 points 87-64. This season Montgomery averages 9.3ppg and 7.8rpg.

   #8. Trayvon Palmer (6'6''-G/F-94, played in 2014-17, plays in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Northern Arizona Suns in their game against the Memphis Hustle in the NBA G League. Palmer cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points. His team were crushed by 40 points 119-79 in the NBA G League. This year Palmer averages 5.0ppg and 2.5rpg in four games.
