Here is the weekly review of the top performing Orange alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Julie McBride (5'4''-PG-82, graduated '04, plays pro in Poland) could not help Artego Bydgoszcz (9-2) in their last game. Despite her very good performance Artego Bydgoszcz lost 70-77 on the road to the lower-ranked (#4) Energa Torun. McBride had a double-double by scoring 17 points and making 10 passes. She also added and 6 steals in 38 minutes. The Regular Season already ended. This year McBride averages 10.0ppg, 2.8rpg, 7.0apg and 2.4spg in nine games she played so far. She is a naturalized Polish.

   #2. Alexis Peterson (5'7''-PG-95, graduated '17, plays in Israel) led Hap.Petah Tikva to a 3-point victory over the closely-ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan (5-4) 80-77 in the Israeli D1 on Monday night. She was MVP of the game. Peterson recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 11 rebounds. She also added 5 assists and 6 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!); quite an impressive performance considering it's only Peterson's second season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Hapoel Petah Tikva (6-3) is placed second in the D1. Peterson has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages 19.2ppg, 6.7rpg, 4.6apg and 3.2spg.

   #3. Cornelia Fondren (5'8''-G-93, graduated '16, currently in Holland) was the major contributor in Lekdetec.nl's victory against the closely-ranked Den Helder (5-5) 70-60 in the Dutch Eredivisie in Saturday night's game. Fondren had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 19 rebounds. She also added 5 assists in 35 minutes; not bad, considering it's only Fondren's third season in pro basketball. Lekdetec.nl Basketball (7-3) is placed third in the Eredivisie. Fondren has very impressive stats this year 17.4ppg, 11.4rpg, 3.1apg and 3.4spg in seven games. She is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

   #4. Briana Day (6'4''-C-95, graduated '17, plays pro in France) contributed to a Nantes Reze Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Bretagne Basket (4-6) 72-68 in the French LFB last Saturday. Day scored 8 points, had 12 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Nantes Reze Basket (4-6) is placed ninth in the LFB. Day has relatively good stats this season 10.9ppg, 8.6rpg and 1.4spg.

   #5. Brianna Butler (5'11''-G-94, graduated '16, plays in Spain) was not able to help Tuenti Movil Estudiantes Madrid (6-6) in their last game. Despite Butler's very good performance the eighth-placed Tuenti Movil Estudiantes Madrid (6-6) lost 69-75 in San Cristobal to the second-ranked Adelantados in the Group B. She was the top scorer with 20 points in 34 minutes. It's Butler's first season with the team. This year Butler averages 10.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg in 12 games.

   #6. Kayla Alexander (6'4''-C-91, graduated '13, currently in Australia), who plays in the Australian WNBL was not able to secure a victory for Adelaide Link Lightning (9-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Alexander's very good performance Adelaide Link Lightning was defeated 83-78 in Melbourne by the leading Boomers. She recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 10 rebounds. Alexander also added and 3 steals. She has relatively good stats this season 11.7ppg, 9.1rpg and 1.1apg.

   #7. Vaida Ruseckiene (6'4''-C-85, graduated '08, plays pro in Lithuania) couldn't help Aistes-LSU (3-2) in their last game. Despite Ruseckiene's good performance the third-placed Aistes-LSU lost in a double overtime (!!!) 85-89 at home to the second-ranked Kibirkstis in the Group A of Latvia. She recorded 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. This year Ruseckiene averages 8.0ppg and 4.2rpg in five games.

   #8. Erica Morrow (5'8''-G-89, graduated '11, plays in Luxembourg) led Amicale to a victory over the closely-ranked Basket Esch crushing them 96-63 in the Luxembourg Total League on Saturday night. She was MVP of the game. Morrow recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points and making 14 passes. She also added 6 rebounds and 3 steals. This season Morrow has very high stats. She averages 22.9ppg, 7.2rpg, 8.9apg and 3.9spg.
