We bring you last week's top former Blue Demons players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Sammy Mejia (6'7''-G-83, graduated '07, plays pro in Turkey) led his Turkish team Tofas to a victory against the closely-ranked Cedevita 96-92 in the Eurocup last Tuesday. He recorded 12 points and added 8 passes in 22 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Tofas Bursais placed fourth in the Eurocup. It's Mejia's first season with the team. Mejia has relatively good stats this year 14.7ppg, 3.4rpg, 4.5apg and 1.3spg in 10 games he played so far.

   #2. Dar Tucker (6'4''-SG-88, graduated '09, plays in Argentina) contributed to a San Lorenzo's victory against the second-ranked Comunicaciones (4-4) 88-81 in the Argentinian La Liga on Friday night. Tucker recorded 12 points. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group C. San Lorenzo de Almagra (7-1) is placed first. Tucker has relatively good stats this season 10.8ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.4apg. He is a naturalized Jordanian.

   #3. Draelon Burns (6'5''-G-85, graduated '08, currently in Japan) was the major contributor in a Nishinomiya Storks' victory against the sixth-ranked Aomori Watts (6-20) 77-58 in the Japanese B2 League in Sunday night's game. He scored 18 points, had 7 boards, handed out 9 passes and blocked 2 shots in 29 minutes. Nishinomiya Storks (11-14) are placed third in Central group. Burns has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.0ppg, 8.0rpg, 7.1apg and 1.9spg in 23 games.

   #4. Myke Henry (6'6''-F-92, graduated '16, plays pro in Israel) led Ironi Nahariya to a victory over the closely-ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3-7) 90-76 in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. Henry recorded 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Ironi Nahariya (3-7) is placed second from the bottom (#11) in the Winner League. It's Henry's first year with the team. This season Henry has very high stats. He averages 21.0ppg, 7.1rpg, 2.1apg and 1.9spg.

   #5. Wilson Chandler (6'8''-F/G-87, graduated '07, plays in the NBA) helped Philadelphia 76ers win their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers (8-25) crushing them 128-105 in the NBA on Sunday night. He recorded 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 29 minutes. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 22-12 record this season. This year Chandler averages 6.3ppg, 4.9rpg and 2.0apg in 21 games.

   #6. Brandon Young (6'4''-G-91, graduated '14, currently in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague could not help one of league's weakest teams Cherkasy (2-8) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Cherkasy was defeated 94-85 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams Politekhnik (#7). Young was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 4 rebounds. Young has relatively good stats this season 14.9ppg, 3.5rpg, 4.6apg and 1.4spg.

   #7. Billy Garrett (6'6''-G-94, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA G League) helped Westchester Knicks edge the Grand Rapids Drive 119-117 in the NBA G League last Saturday. Garrett recorded 14 points and added 3 assists (made all of his six free throws) in 29 minutes. Garrett has relatively good stats this year 13.8ppg, 3.9rpg and 2.9apg in 20 games.

   #8. Aleksandar Marcius (6'10''-C-90, graduated '14, plays in Spain) helped Real Betis win their game against the 12th-ranked Real Canoe crushing them 99-68 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Saturday night. He recorded 8 points. This season Marcius averages 3.4ppg and 2.6rpg.

   #9. Cleveland Melvin (6'8''-F-91, graduated '14, currently in Poland) was not able to help MKS Dabrowa Gornicza in their game against Stelmet Enea BC in the Polish EBL. He scored 7 points in 26 minutes. His team was crushed by 24 points 102-78. Melvin has relatively good stats this year 14.3ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.2spg in 12 games.

   #10. Marin Maric (6'11''-C-94, graduated '18, plays pro in Belgium) was not able to secure a victory for Oostende in their game against Basic-Fit Brussels in the Belgian Euromillions League. Maric scored only 4 points. His team was edged 59-58. This season Maric averages 8.4ppg and 3.9rpg.
