Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Hilltoppers players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. A.J. Slaughter (6'3''-G-87, graduated '10, plays pro in France) was the major contributor in an ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's victory against the 14th-ranked Chalons-Reims (5-9) 91-84 in the French ProA last Saturday. He recorded 18 points in 33 minutes. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (12-2) is placed first in the ProA. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Slaughter has relatively good stats this year 11.1ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg in 12 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Polish.

   #2. Darius Thompson (6'4''-G-95, graduated '18, plays in Holland) led Leiden to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Den Helder (5-5) crushing them 97-76 in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday night. He recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Thompson's first season in pro basketball. Zorg and Zekerheid Leiden (10-1) is placed third in the Eredivisie. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. Thompson has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 20.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 6.5apg and 3.5spg.

   #3. T.J. Price (6'4''-G-93, graduated '15, currently in Hungary) led Kormend to a victory over the 12th-ranked Kaposvari (3-8) 92-87 in the Hungarian A Division in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Price scored 23 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 31 minutes. Egis Kormend (8-3) is placed second in the A Division. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Price has very impressive stats this year 18.2ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.4apg and 1.6spg in nine games.

   #4. Tyrone Brazelton (6'1''-PG-86, graduated '08, plays pro in Greece) could not help one of league's weakest teams Ifestos (5-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Brazelton's very good performance Ifestos was edged 65-62 on the road by the higher-ranked Holargos (#7). He was the top scorer with 16 points. Brazelton also added 6 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Brazelton has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg, 2.4rpg and 4.0apg.

   #5. Benjamin Lawson (7'1''-F-95, graduated '17, plays in Japan) was not able to help Fukuoka Rizing (5-20) in their last game. Despite Lawson's very good performance the sixth-placed Fukuoka Rizing (5-20) was edged 82-80 at home by the lower-ranked (#6) Levanga Hokkaido Sapporo in the West group. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Lawson also added 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in 38 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. It was Fukuoka Rizing's third consecutive loss in a row. Lawson has relatively good stats this year 14.2ppg, 9.7rpg, 1.8apg and 1.6bpg in 21 games.

   #6. Jeremy Evans (6'9''-F-87, graduated '10, currently in Turkey), who plays in Turkey was not able to secure a victory for Darussafaka (1-13) in their last game on Friday. Despite his good performance the bottom-ranked Darussafaka was edged 85-84 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Khimki (#12). Evans scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. This season Evans averages 7.8ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.2bpg.

   #7. Experienced Courtney Lee (6'5''-G/F-85, graduated '08, plays pro in the NBA) couldn't help the New York Knicks in their game against the Phoenix Suns in the NBA, despite his good performance on Monday night. Lee scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. But his team were badly defeated by 18 points 128-110 in the NBA. This year Lee averages 4.9ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.3apg in nine games.

   #8. Sergio Kerusch (6'5''-F-89, graduated '11, plays in Germany) couldn't help Mitteldeutscher BC Weissenfels in their game against Deutsche Bank Skyliners in the German BBL. Despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game He was the second best scorer with 20 points. Kerusch also added 4 assists. This season Kerusch averages 9.4ppg and 3.9rpg. He is a naturalized German.

   #9. Orlando Mendez-Valdez (5'9''-PG-86, graduated '09, currently in Mexico) couldn't help Soles de Mexicali in their game against Lenadores in the Mexican LNBP (second division), despite his good performance last Thursday. He recorded 12 points (made all of his five free throws) in a mere 16 minutes. But his team was badly defeated by 20 points 106-86. Mendez-Valdez has relatively good stats this year 12.7ppg, 3.0rpg and 4.3apg in 19 games. He is a naturalized Mexican.

   #10. Dwight Coleby (6'9''-F-94, graduated '18, plays pro in Japan) couldn't help Akita Northern Happinets in their game against Chiba Jets in the Japanese B League. Despite his good performance on Saturday night He recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 16 rebounds. Coleby also added 4 assists and 3 steals. It was his first game for Akita Northern Happinets this season.
