We bring you last week's top former Dragons players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Frank Elegar (6'10''-C-86, graduated '08, plays pro in Turkey) was the major contributor in Tofas' victory against the seventh-ranked Gaziantep (5-6) 79-66 in the Turkish BSL on Saturday night. He scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 22 minutes. It was his first game for Tofas this season. His team is placed second in the BSL. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Elegar's first year with the team. Elegar has also Guyanese nationality.

   #2. Frantz Massenat (6'4''-G-92, graduated '15, plays in Germany) led EWE Baskets Oldenburg to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked BG Goettingen (4-8) 86-70 in the German BBL in Sunday night's game. He scored 17 points and added 3 assists. EWE Baskets Oldenburg (8-2) is placed third in the BBL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Massenat's first year with the team. Massenat has relatively good stats this season 10.9ppg, 1.8rpg, 2.6apg and 2.0spg in 10 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Haitian.

   #3. Experienced Phil Goss (6'2''-PG-83, graduated '05, currently in Greece), who plays in the Greek A1 could not help PAOK (4-3) in their game last Sunday. Despite his good performance PAOK was defeated 93-83 at home by the leading Panathinaikos. Goss was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 5 assists in 32 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Goss has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.3apg and 1.9spg.

   #4. Chaz Crawford (6'10''-F/C-84, graduated '07, plays pro in Uruguay) led Urunday Universitario to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Hebraica (8-6) 76-61 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB on Friday night. He had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. Crawford also added 3 blocks. Urunday Universitario (9-5) is placed sixth in the LUB. The Regular Season already ended. Crawford has relatively good stats this year 13.5ppg, 12.9rpg, 2.8apg, 2.0bpg and 1.5spg in 11 games.

   #5. Samme Givens (6'6''-F-89, graduated '12, plays in Israel) led Maccabi Hunter Haifa to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (3-7) crushing them 95-71 in the Israeli National League (second division) in Tuesday night's game. Givens scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. Maccabi Hunter Haifa (6-4) is placed fourth in the National League. It's Givens' first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Givens averages 16.4ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.7apg and 1.3spg.

   #6. Dartaye Ruffin (6'9''-C-91, graduated '14, currently in Sweden) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Nassjo in their game against Boras Basket in the Swedish Basketligan, despite his very good performance on Friday night. Ruffin was the top scorer with 21 points. He also added 6 rebounds and 4 assists. But his team was crushed by 23 points 103-80. Ruffin has very impressive stats this year 16.4ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.8spg in 18 games.

   #7. Damion Lee (6'6''-G-92, played in 2011-15, plays pro in the NBA) managed to help Golden State Warriors to win against the Sacramento Kings 130-125 in the NBA on Friday night. Lee scored 5 points in 9 minutes. This season he averages 4.9ppg and 1.9rpg.

   #8. Randy Oveneke (6'7''-F-86, played in 2004-08, plays in Belgium) was not able to secure a victory for Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen in their game against Liege Basket in the Belgian Euromillions League. Oveneke recorded 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team lost 83-92. This year he averages 3.7ppg and 1.8rpg in six games.

   #9. Robert Battle (6'9''-C-81, graduated '03, currently in Argentina) couldn't help Comunicaciones in their game against San Lorenzo in the Argentinian La Liga. Battle recorded 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 22 minutes. His team was defeated 88-81. This season he averages 7.8ppg, 7.4rpg and 1.1bpg.

   #10. Rodney Williams (6'7''-F-93, graduated '17, plays pro in France) couldn't help GET Vosges in their game against Kaysersberg in the French NM1 (third division), despite his good performance in Friday night's game. He scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. But his team lost 86-90. Williams has relatively good stats this year 13.8ppg, 8.7rpg and 1.1apg in 10 games.
