We bring you last week's top former Cougars players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Jimmer Fredette (6'2''-PG-89, graduated '11, plays pro in China) led Shanghai Sharks to a victory over the 15th-ranked Monkey Kings (7-15) 113-105 in the Chinese CBA last Thursday. He was MVP of the game. Fredette scored 47 points (!!!), grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 9 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in 36 minutes. Shanghai Sharks (14-8) are placed seventh in the CBA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Fredette has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 38.0ppg, 5.9rpg, 6.0apg and 3.4spg in 22 games he played so far.

   #2. Brandon Davies (6'10''-C-91, graduated '13, plays in Lithuania) could not help Zalgiris (7-7) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance Zalgiris was defeated 88-84 on the road by the lower-ranked Bayern Muenchen (#8). Davies was the top scorer with 21 points. He also added 6 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 2 shots. Davies' team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This season Davies has very high stats. He averages 15.7ppg, 5.6rpg and 2.1apg.

   #3. Elijah Bryant (6'5''-G-95, graduated '18, currently in Israel) was the main contributor in a Hapoel Eilat's victory against the closely-ranked Galil Gilboa (6-4) 88-70 in the Israeli Winner League in Monday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Bryant recorded 28 points (!!!) and grabbed 9 rebounds in 35 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Hapoel Eilat (7-3) is placed third in the Winner League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Bryant's first year with the team. Bryant has very impressive stats this season 21.4ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.5spg in 10 games.

   #4. Kyle Collinsworth (6'6''-G-91, graduated '16, plays pro in the NBA G League) was not able to help the Raptors 905 Missisauga (13-6) in their last game on Friday. Despite Collinsworth's very good performance the Raptors 905 Missisauga (#2) was defeated 110-105 in Grand Rapids by the Drive. He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. Collinsworth also added 3 assists and 5 steals. It's Collinsworth's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 10.4ppg, 7.3rpg, 3.6apg and 1.9spg.

   #5. Tyler Haws (6'4''-G-91, graduated '15, plays in Spain) contributed to a Levitec Huesca's victory against the closely-ranked Lleida Basquet (9-5) 89-85 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Friday night. Haws scored 13 points in 23 minutes. Levitec Huesca (10-4) is placed third in the LEB Gold. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Haws' first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.8ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.6apg in 14 games. Haws is a naturalized Belgian.

   #6. Jonathan Tavernari (6'6''-SF-87, graduated '10, currently in Italy) helped Givova Scafati win their game against the third-ranked Novipiu Casale 101-89 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Tavernari scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. This season he averages 4.3ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.7apg. Tavernari has also Italian passport.
