Here is the weekly review of the top performing Privateers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Nate Frye (6'0''-PG-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Uruguay) led Atletico Welcome to a victory over the league outsider Sayago (0-15) 94-84 in the Uruguayan LUB last Thursday. Frye was MVP of the game. He scored 25 points and added 5 assists in 37 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Frye's second season in pro basketball. Atletico Welcome (5-10) is placed 12th in the LUB. The Regular Season already ended. Frye has relatively good stats this year 14.2ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.5apg and 1.3spg in 15 games he played so far. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

   #2. Kyndall Dykes (6'4''-SG-87, graduated '09, plays in Romania) was the main contributor in an Cluj Napoca's victory against the seventh-ranked CSM Steaua Bucuresti (3-8) 81-73 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Dykes recorded 21 points and added 4 assists. U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napocais placed first in Group A. Dykes has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 20.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.6apg and 1.3spg. Dykes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

   #3. Experienced Bo McCalebb (5'10''-PG-85, graduated '08, currently in Spain), who plays in the Spanish Liga Endesa could not help Zaragoza (6-6) in their last game. Despite his good performance Zaragoza was crushed 94-73 on the road by the higher-ranked (#6) La ICL Manresa. McCalebb was the second best scorer with 11 points. He also added 5 passes in 24 minutes. It was Zaragoza's first loss after four consecutive victories. It's McCalebb's first season with the team. McCalebb has relatively good stats this year 11.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.4apg and 1.3spg in 12 games. He is a naturalized FYR Macedonian.

   #4. Travin Thibodeaux (6'8''-F-96, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA G League) contributed to an easy victory against the Oklahoma City Blue (14-4) 113-94 in the NBA G League last Saturday. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group E Central. The Fort Wayne Mad Ants have 8-8 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Thibodeaux averages 1.3ppg and 3.7rpg.

   #5. Kevin Hill (6'7''-F-92, graduated '16, plays in FYR Macedonia) contributed to a Ohrid AV's victory against the fourth-ranked Gostivar (6-3) 94-89 in the FYR Macedonian Prva Liga on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Hill recorded 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. KK Ohrid AV (3-6) is placed ninth in the Prva Liga. It's Hill's first year with the team. Hill has relatively good stats this season 13.1ppg and 7.2rpg in nine games.

Destin Damachoua (6'1''-G-86) plays for SO Pont de Cheruy Charvieu Chavanoz in French NM2
Cory Dixon (6'7''-F-90) plays for Sudbury Five in the NBL Canada
