Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Sooners players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Buddy Hield (6'4''-G-93, graduated '16, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Sacramento Kings (17-15) in their game last Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the Sacramento Kings (17-15) were badly defeated 132-113 on the road by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Hield was the top scorer with 37 points. He also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists (made all of his eight free throws) in 35 minutes. Hield has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 20.1ppg, 5.1rpg and 2.4apg.

   #2. Blake Griffin (6'10''-F-89, graduated '09, plays in the NBA) led Detroit Pistons to a victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves (14-18) 129-123 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. Griffin was MVP of the game. He recorded 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The Detroit Pistons have 15-15 record this season. Griffin has very impressive stats this year 25.6ppg, 9.0rpg and 5.2apg in 29 games he played so far.

   #3. Tashawn Thomas (6'8''-F-93, graduated '15, currently in Israel) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Lietkabelis (3-6) crushing them 97-70 in the Basketball Champions League last Tuesday. He scored 16 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 21 minutes. Hapoel Jerusalem (7-2) is placed second in the Basketball Champions League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Thomas' first season with the team. Thomas has relatively good stats this year 11.8ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5bpg.

   #4. Andrew Fitzgerald (6'8''-C/F-90, graduated '13, plays pro in Japan) was the main contributor in a Ehime Orange Vikings' victory against the fifth-ranked Fukushima (10-14) 101-95 in the Japanese B2 League on Sunday night. Fitzgerald was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 55 points and getting 22 rebounds. Ehime Orange Vikings (9-15) are placed fourth in West group. Fitzgerald has very impressive stats this year 27.9ppg, 12.0rpg and 2.4apg in 24 games.

   #5. Amath M'Baye (6'9''-F-89, graduated '13, plays in Italy) was not able to help Virtus Bologna (7-2) in their game last Wednesday. Despite M'Baye's good performance the league leader Virtus Bologna was edged 77-76 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Oostende (#7). He scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 26 minutes. It's M'Baye's first season with the team. M'Baye has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1bpg. He has also French passport.

   #6. Trae Young (6'2''-G-98, graduated '18, currently in the NBA) was the major contributor in an Atlanta Hawks' victory against the Washington Wizards 118-110 in the NBA last Tuesday. Young scored 19 points and added 4 assists. He has very impressive stats this year 15.5ppg, 2.7rpg and 7.2apg in 31 games.

   #7. Tony Crocker (6'7''-F/G-87, graduated '10, plays pro in Russia) was not able to secure a victory for Khimki (5-9) in their game last Wednesday. Despite Crocker's good performance Khimki was badly defeated 79-63 in Tel-Aviv by the lower-ranked Maccabi T-A (#14). He recorded 11 points in a mere 15 minutes. This season Crocker averages 9.4ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.5apg.

   #8. Isaiah Cousins (6'4''-G-94, graduated '16, plays in the NBA G League) contributed to a Salt Lake City Stars' victory against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 111-101 in the NBA G League in Thursday night's game. Cousins was MVP of the game. He recorded 19 points and added 8 passes. Cousins has relatively good stats this year 12.2ppg, 4.7rpg, 6.2apg and 1.1spg in 17 games.

   #9. Ryan Wright (6'9''-C/F-87, graduated '10, currently in Finland), who plays in the Finnish Korisliiga couldn't help Joensuun Kataja Basket (6-5) in their game last Friday. Despite his good performance Joensuun Kataja Basket was edged 79-77 in Kotka by the second-ranked KTP-Basket. Wright scored 14 points in 27 minutes. This season he averages 10.0ppg and 3.8rpg.

   #10. Willie Warren (6'4''-PG-89, graduated '10, plays pro in Lebanon) helped Hoops Club win their game against the closely-ranked Beirut Club 77-68 in a derby game in the Lebanese LBL on Friday night. Warren was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and making 10 passes (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). It was his first game for Hoops Club this season.
