We bring you last week's top former Red Storm players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Dwight Hardy (6'2''-SG-87, graduated '11, plays pro in France) was the major contributor in a Limoges CSP Elite's victory against the 14th-ranked Chalons-Reims (6-8) crushing them 106-83 in the French ProA in Friday night's game. He scored 18 points and had 3 steals in 27 minutes. Limoges CSP Elite (7-7) is placed ninth in the ProA. It's Hardy's first season with the team. Hardy has relatively good stats this year 11.2ppg, 1.3rpg and 2.5apg in 13 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Congolese.

   #2. Marcus LoVett Jr. (6'0''-G-96, graduated '18, plays in Serbia) could not help Sloboda Uzice (6-8) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance Sloboda Uzice was defeated 89-83 on the road by the lower-ranked Mladost ZE (#11). LoVett Jr. was the second best scorer with 19 points. He also added 9 assists and 3 steals. LoVett Jr. has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 18.3ppg, 2.9rpg and 4.6apg.

   #3. JaKarr Sampson (6'9''-F-93, graduated '14, currently in the NBA G League) led Windy City Bulls to a victory over the Canton Charge (7-9) 108-96 in the NBA G League on Friday night. He was MVP of the game. Sampson scored 27 points (!!!) and grabbed 9 rebounds in 33 minutes. The Windy City Bulls have 9-12 record this season. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. It's Sampson's first year with the team. He has very impressive stats this season 21.7ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.3apg in six games.

   #4. Maurice Harkless (6'8''-G/F-93, graduated '12, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to a Portland Trail Blazers' victory against the Los Angeles Clippers (18-13) 131-127 in the NBA in Monday night's game. Harkless scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Portland Trail Blazers have 18-14 record this season. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. It's Harkless' fourth year with the team. This season he averages 5.3ppg and 3.4rpg. Harkless is a naturalized Puerto Rican.

   #5. Sean Evans (6'8''-PF-88, graduated '11, plays in Greece) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Ifestos (4-5) in their last game. Despite Evans' good performance Ifestos was edged 65-62 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked (#7) Holargos. He had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 11 rebounds in 30 minutes. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Evans has relatively good stats this year 11.7ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.1apg and 1.2spg in nine games.

   #6. Eugene Lawrence (6'1''-PG-86, graduated '08, currently in Czech Republic) helped CEZ Nymburk win their game against the ninth-ranked BK Kolin crushing them 107-79 in the Czech Republic NBL on Saturday night. Lawrence scored 12 points and added 3 passes. This season Lawrence averages 7.3ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.9apg and 1.2spg.

   #7. Experienced Lamont Hamilton (6'10''-C/F-84, graduated '07, plays pro in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Niigata Albirex (15-9) in their last game. Despite Hamilton's very good performance the first-placed Niigata Albirex was edged 75-73 at home by the leading Tochigi Brex in the Central group. He had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds. Hamilton also added 2 blocks in 37 minutes. Hamilton has very impressive stats this year 17.1ppg, 9.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.7bpg in 21 games.

   #8. Omar-Sharif Cook (6'1''-PG-82, graduated '01, plays in Spain) couldn't help Movistar Estudiantes Madrid in their game against Blusens Monbus in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Cook scored 8 points, made 9 passes and 3 steals. His team was defeated 91-81. This season Cook averages 6.5ppg, 2.3rpg, 6.2apg and 1.5spg. He is a naturalized Montenegrin.

   #9. Richard Freudenberg (6'9''-F-98, graduated '18, currently in Germany) couldn't help Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt in their game against Unics Kazan in the Eurocup. He recorded 5 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 31 minutes. His team lost 65-72. This year Freudenberg averages 3.4ppg and 1.6rpg in nine games.

   #10. DJ Kennedy (6'6''-F-89, graduated '11, plays pro in Australia) helped Melbourne United win their game against the league leader Perth Wildcats 82-65 in the Australian NBL in Monday night's game. He scored 10 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Kennedy has relatively good stats this season 12.6ppg, 6.1rpg, 2.4apg and 1.4spg.
