Here is the weekly review of the top performing Golden Flashes alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Deon Edwin (6'3''-G-92, graduated '17, plays pro in Ukraine) led Khimik to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Dnipro (9-5) 94-92 in the Ukrainian Superleague last Monday. He was MVP of the game. Edwin scored 28 points (!!!) and added 4 passes in 28 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Khimik-OPZ Yuhzny (10-4) is placed first in the Superleague. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Edwin's first year with the team. Edwin has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 16.1ppg, 3.7rpg, 4.1apg and 1.7spg in 14 games he played so far.

#2. Christopher Ortiz (6'8''-F-93, graduated '16, plays in Finland) led Helsinki Seagulls to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Lapuan Korikobrat (5-11) crushing them 104-81 in the Finnish Korisliiga on Friday night. Ortiz was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 10 rebounds. Ortiz also added 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line); not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Helsinki Seagulls (6-8) is placed eighth in the Korisliiga. This season Ortiz has very high stats. He averages 17.2ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.4apg. Ortiz is a naturalized Puerto Rican.

#3. Christopher Evans (6'8''-SF-91, graduated '13, currently in Spain) contributed to a Gran Canaria's victory against one of league's weakest teams Buducnost (3-11) 95-85 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. Evans scored 9 points in just 14 minutes. Herbalife Gran Canaria (5-9) is placed 13th in the Euroleague. His team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Evans' first season with the team. Evans has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.1apg in 12 games.

#4. Jimmy Hall (6'8''-F-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Israel) was the main contributor in a 2-point Elitzur Kiryat Ata's victory against one of league's weakest teams Maccabi Rehovot (3-7) 92-90 in the Israeli National League (second division) last Tuesday. Hall was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 11 rebounds. Hall also added 4 assists. Elitzur Kiryat Ata (7-3) is placed third in the National League. This season Hall has very high stats. He averages 19.7ppg, 13.0rpg, 3.1apg and 1.2spg.

#5. Khaliq Spicer (6'9''-C-94, graduated '16, plays in Belgium) could not help Hubo Limburg United (3-6) in their last game. Despite his good performance Hubo Limburg United lost 79-88 on the road to the lower-ranked (#7) Spirou Charleroi. Spicer was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 25 minutes. It was Hubo Limburg United's fourth consecutive loss in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Spicer has relatively good stats this year 13.7ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.6bpg in nine games.

#6. Xavier Pollard (6'4''-G-91, graduated '16, currently in Switzerland) was not able to help Lugano Tigers in their game against Starwings in the Swiss SBL. Despite his good performance in Sunday night's game Pollard scored 11 points. This season Pollard has very high stats. He averages 17.1ppg, 4.9rpg, 5.6apg and 1.5spg.

#7. Derek Jackson (6'1''-PG-91, graduated '15, plays pro in Switzerland) was not able to secure a victory for Swiss Central in their game against Geneve Lions in the Swiss SBL. He was the second best scorer with 9 points. Jackson also added made 3 passes and 5 steals in 30 minutes. His team was crushed by 46 points 92-46.
