We bring you last week's top former Beavers players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Jared Cunningham (6'5''-G-91, graduated '12, plays pro in Italy) could not help Germani BR in their last game. Despite his very good performance Germani BR was badly defeated 97-80 at home by the higher-ranked (#4) ratiopharm Ulm. Cunningham was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 3 passes in 31 minutes. It's Cunningham's first season with the team. Cunningham has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.5apg in two games he played so far.

   #2. Gary Payton II (6'3''-G-92, graduated '16, plays in the NBA G League) was not able to help the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (9-9) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (#3) were badly defeated 118-98 on the road by the Lakeland Magic. Payton II was the top scorer with 27 points. He also added 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. This season Payton II has very high stats. He averages 20.3ppg, 6.8rpg, 4.0apg and 2.8spg.

   #3. Omari Johnson (6'9''-F-89, graduated '11, currently in the NBA G League), who plays in the NBA G League was not able to secure a victory for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (8-8) in their last game. Despite Johnson's very good performance the Fort Wayne Mad Ants lost 101-111 in Salt Lake City to the Stars. He was the top scorer with 24 points. Johnson also added 4 rebounds in 37 minutes. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Johnson's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 12.4ppg and 4.9rpg in 16 games. Johnson is a naturalized Jamaican.

   #4. Angus Brandt (6'10''-C-89, graduated '14, plays pro in Australia) couldn't help Perth Wildcats (11-4) in their last game on Friday. Despite Brandt's good performance the league leader Perth Wildcats were edged 98-97 in Sydney by the second-ranked Kings. He recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 11 rebounds. This season Brandt averages 7.3ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.2apg.

   #5. Drew Eubanks (6'10''-F-97, graduated '18, plays in the NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Orlando Magic (14-16) crushing them 129-90 in the NBA on Wednesday night. He recorded 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in just 10 minutes. The San Antonio Spurs have 17-15 record this season. It's Eubanks' first year with the team. This year Eubanks averages 4.2ppg and 1.4rpg in five games.

   #6. Charles Barton (6'4''-PG-92, graduated '14, currently in Belgium), who plays in the Belgian Euromillions League couldn't help Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen (7-2) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen was defeated 92-83 in Liege by the lower-ranked Basket (#6). Barton was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 5 passes. Barton has relatively good stats this season 13.1ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.3apg.

   #7. Olaf Schaftenaar (6'10''-F-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Holland) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Weert 84-69 in the Dutch Eredivisie last Sunday. He recorded 9 points in 15 minutes. It was his first game for Zwolle this season.

   #8. Roberto Nelson (6'3''-G-91, graduated '14, plays in Mexico) couldn't help Huracanes de Tampico in their game against Soles in the Mexican LNBP (second division). Nelson scored 9 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. His team was badly defeated by 16 points 84-68. This season he averages 4.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 3.0apg.

   #9. Joe Burton (6'7''-F-90, graduated '13, currently in France) was the major contributor in an ADA Blois Basket 41's victory against the closely-ranked Lille Metropole 74-68 in the French ProB (second division) in Tuesday night's game. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in a mere 17 minutes. Burton has relatively good stats this year 12.9ppg, 6.2rpg and 2.2apg in 10 games.

   #10. Roeland Schaftenaar (6'11''-F/C-88, graduated '10, plays pro in Greece) managed to help AO Ionikos Nikaias to win against the eighth-ranked AS Diagoras Dryopideon Egaleo 89-78 in the Greek A2 (second division) last Saturday. Schaftenaar recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. He has relatively good stats this season 10.2ppg and 4.6rpg.
