Here is the weekly review of the top performing Golden Eagles alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Dwight Buycks (6'3''-PG-89, graduated '11, plays pro in China) led Shenzhen Leopards to a victory over the 13th-ranked Golden Bulls (8-13) 111-107 in the Chinese CBA in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Buycks scored 28 points (!!!), had 6 boards, passed 4 assists and added 4 steals in 34 minutes. Shenzhen Leopards (15-6) are placed fifth in the CBA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Buycks has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.7ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.7apg and 2.3spg in six games he played so far.

   #2. Jimmy Butler (6'7''-G/F-89, graduated '11, plays in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Philadelphia 76ers' victory against the New York Knicks (9-24) crushing them 131-109 in the NBA last Wednesday. He recorded 20 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 21-12 record this season. It's Butler's first year with the team. This year Butler has very high stats. He averages 18.9ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.9apg and 1.8spg.

   #3. Darius Johnson-Odom (6'2''-PG-89, graduated '12, currently in the NBA G League) was the main contributor in an Iowa Wolves' victory against the Sioux Falls Skyforce (12-7) 119-112 in the NBA G League on Monday night. Johnson-Odom was MVP of the game. He scored 36 points (!!!), had 7 rebounds and dished 6 assists (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!) in 38 minutes. The Iowa Wolves have 7-11 record this season. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Johnson-Odom has very impressive stats this year 21.9ppg, 4.3rpg, 4.3apg and 1.4spg in 18 games.

   #4. Jae Crowder (6'6''-F-90, graduated '12, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to an Utah Jazz's victory against the Golden State Warriors (21-11) 108-103 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 11 rebounds. The Utah Jazz has 15-17 record this season. It's Crowder's first year with the team. This year Crowder has very high stats. He averages 12.2ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.7apg.

   #5. Davante Gardner (6'8''-PF-91, graduated '14, plays in Japan) could not help Niigata Albirex (15-9) in their last game. Despite Gardner's very good performance the first-placed Niigata Albirex (15-9) lost 62-68 at home to the leading Tochigi Brex in the Central group. He had a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 15 rebounds. Gardner also added 5 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) in 40 minutes. Gardner has very impressive stats this year 26.7ppg, 11.2rpg and 4.0apg in 24 games.

   #6. Experienced Travis Diener (6'1''-PG-82, graduated '05, currently in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked VL Pesaro 122-106 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. Diener recorded 15 points and added 3 passes. This season Diener averages 7.6ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.7apg and 1.1spg. He is a naturalized Italian.

   #7. Dwyane Wade (6'4''-G-82, graduated '03, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to a Miami Heat's victory against the New Orleans Pelicans 102-96 in the NBA in Sunday night's game. He recorded 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 23 minutes. Wade has very impressive stats this year 14.5ppg, 3.5rpg and 3.7apg in 22 games.

   #8. Andrew Rowsey (5'11''-PG-94, graduated '18, plays in Hungary) helped Szolnok win their game against the closely-ranked Kormend 95-79 in the Hungarian A Division last Saturday. He recorded 18 points. Rowsey has relatively good stats this season 10.8ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.8apg.

   #9. Matt Carlino (6'3''-PG-92, graduated '15, currently in France), who plays in the French ProB (second division) was not able to help Chorale de Roanne Basket (8-2) in their last game. Despite Carlino's very good performance the league leader Chorale de Roanne Basket lost 81-87 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#16) Denain Voltaire. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Carlino also added 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 32 minutes. Carlino has very impressive stats this year 17.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.5apg and 1.2spg in 10 games. He is a naturalized Italian.

   #10. Trent Lockett (6'5''-G-90, graduated '13, plays pro in Russia) helped his Russian team Unics Kazan win their game against the leader Deutsche Bank Skyliners 72-65 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. This season Lockett averages 8.6ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.9apg and 1.3spg.
