We bring you last week's top former Jayhawks players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Joel Embiid (7'0''-C-94, graduated '14, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Philadelphia 76ers (21-12) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Philadelphia 76ers (21-12) lost 101-113 on the road to the Indiana Pacers. Embiid had a double-double by scoring 40 points and getting 21 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 34 minutes. It's Embiid's fifth season with the team. Embiid has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 26.3ppg, 13.2rpg, 3.6apg and 1.8bpg in 32 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Keith Langford (6'4''-SG-83, graduated '05, plays in Greece) led Panathinaikos to a victory over the fifth-ranked PAOK (4-3) 93-83 in the Greek A1 last Sunday. Langford was MVP of the game. He scored 21 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens (8-0) is placed first in the A1. So far his team won all eight games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Langford has relatively good stats this year 12.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.3apg.

   #3. Julian Wright (6'8''-C/F-87, graduated '07, currently in France) was the major contributor in Levallois' victory against the 15th-ranked Le Portel (3-10) 84-74 in the French ProA on Friday night. Wright had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 2 blocks in 33 minutes. Levallois Metropolitans (8-5) is placed eighth in the ProA. Wright has relatively good stats this year 14.3ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.6apg and 2.1spg in 13 games.

   #4. Mario Little (6'6''-G/F-87, graduated '11, plays pro in Croatia) was the main contributor in a 1-point KK Zadar's victory against one of league's weakest teams KK Skrljevo (3-7) 88-87 in the Croatian Premijer Liga in Saturday night's game. Little was MVP of the game. He recorded 26 points (!!!) and added 3 passes (made all of his nine free throws !!!). KK Zadar (8-3) is placed second in the Premijer Liga. It's Little's first season with the team. Little has relatively good stats this year 11.4ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1spg.

   #5. Jamari Traylor (6'8''-F/C-92, graduated '16, plays in Japan) was not able to help Hiroshima Dragonflies (16-8) in their last game. Despite Traylor's very good performance the second-placed Hiroshima Dragonflies (16-8) lost 80-89 in Ishikawa to the lower-ranked (#5) Kanazawa Samuraiz in the West group. He had a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 12 rebounds. Traylor also added 3 blocks in 38 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It's Traylor's first year with the team. Traylor has very impressive stats this season 19.4ppg, 11.5rpg, 2.6apg, 1.8bpg and 1.9spg in 24 games.

   #6. Tarik Black (6'9''-F-91, graduated '14, currently in Israel) contributed to a Maccabi T-A's victory against the closely-ranked Hapoel Jerusalem 91-78 in the Israeli Winner League on Saturday night. Black recorded 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. This season he averages 9.1ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3bpg.

   #7. Marcus Morris (6'9''-F-89, graduated '11, plays pro in the NBA) helped Boston Celtics win their game against the Atlanta Hawks crushing them 129-108 in the NBA in Friday night's game. He scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. Morris has very impressive stats this year 14.9ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.5apg in 28 games.

   #8. Cliff Alexander (6'9''-F/C-95, graduated '15, plays in Germany) helped his German team Brose Baskets Bamberg win their game against the seventh-ranked JDA Dijon 101-97 in the Basketball Champions League last Wednesday. He scored 9 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. This season Alexander averages 6.1ppg and 4.8rpg.

   #9. Andrew Wiggins (6'8''-G-95, graduated '14, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA was not able to secure a victory for the Minnesota Timberwolves (14-17) in their last game. Despite Wiggins' very good performance the Minnesota Timberwolves lost 123-129 in Detroit to the Pistons. He recorded 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 38 minutes. Wiggins has very impressive stats this year 16.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.3spg in 27 games.

   #10. Thomas Robinson (6'10''-PF-91, graduated '12, plays pro in China) couldn't help Beijing Dragons (5-17) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his very good performance Beijing Dragons were edged 111-110 at home by the higher-ranked Brave Dragons (#14). Robinson recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added 4 assists and 3 steals. This season Robinson has very high stats. He averages 21.6ppg, 12.6rpg, 1.3apg and 2.3spg.
