We bring you last week's top former Fighting Gamecocks players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Dominique Archie (6'7''-F-87, graduated '10, plays pro in Italy) led Openjobmetis Varese to a victory over the 14th-ranked Fiat TO (3-7) 77-60 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Archie recorded 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 30 minutes. Openjobmetis Varese (7-3) is placed fourth in the Serie A. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Archie's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 12.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.7apg and 1.2spg in 10 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Renaldo Balkman (6'8''-F-84, graduated '06, plays in Philippines) was the main contributor in a SM Beermen's victory against the closely-ranked CLS Knights (3-5) 88-80 in the ASEAN League last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. Balkman recorded a double-double by scoring 36 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added and 4 steals. San Miguel Beermen (2-0) is placed seventh in the ASEAN League. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Balkman has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 34.5ppg, 11.5rpg, 2.0apg, 1.5bpg and 3.5spg. Balkman is a naturalized Puerto Rican.

   #3. Tarence Kinsey (6'7''-G/F-84, graduated '06, currently in France), who plays in France could not help JDA Dijon Bourgogne (3-6) in their last game. Despite Kinsey's very good performance JDA Dijon Bourgogne lost 97-101 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) Brose Baskets. He was the second best scorer with 19 points. Kinsey also added 4 steals in 33 minutes. This year Kinsey averages 9.5ppg and 2.5spg in two games.

   #4. Brandis Raley-Ross (6'3''-G-87, graduated '10, plays pro in Croatia) contributed to a KK Cibona VIP Zagreb's victory against the fifth-ranked H.Analitica (6-4) 102-90 in a derby game in the Croatian Premijer Liga in Thursday night's game. Raley-Ross recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. KK Cibona VIP Zagreb (8-2) is placed first in the Premijer Liga. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Raley-Ross' first season with the team. This year he averages 9.1ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg.

   #5. Duane Notice (6'2''-G-94, graduated '17, plays in the NBA G League) was not able to help the Raptors 905 Missisauga (12-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Raptors 905 Missisauga (#3) lost 123-135 in Southaven to the Memphis Hustle. Notice was the second best scorer with 25 points in 35 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. It's Notice's first year with the team. This season Notice averages 9.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.7apg and 1.3spg in 15 games.

   #6. Frank Booker (6'3''-G-94, graduated '18, currently in France), who plays in the French ProB (second division) was not able to secure a victory for ALM Evreux Basket (5-5) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his good performance ALM Evreux Basket was badly defeated 98-79 in Rouen by the higher-ranked SPO Rouen (#6). Booker recorded 11 points. This season he averages 8.8ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.7apg. Booker is a naturalized Icelandic.

   #7. Lakeem Jackson (6'5''-G/F-90, graduated '13, plays pro in Japan) couldn't help Ehime Orange Vikings in their game against Fukushima in the Japanese B2 League, despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game. Jackson was the second best scorer with 15 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 27 minutes. But his team were badly defeated by 19 points 97-78. Jackson has very impressive stats this year 16.6ppg, 11.0rpg, 3.2apg and 1.8spg in five games.

   #8. Brian Bowen (6'7''-G/F-98, graduated '19, plays in Australia) managed to help Sydney Kings to win against the league outsider Cairns Taipans 81-70 in the Australian NBL last Thursday. Bowen recorded 5 points. This season he averages 6.6ppg and 3.4rpg.

   #9. Sindarius Thornwell (6'5''-G-94, graduated '17, currently in the NBA) couldn't help the Los Angeles Clippers in their game against the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. He cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. Thornwell recorded only 2 points in 13 minutes. His team were crushed by 38 points 125-87 in the NBA. This year he averages 1.5ppg and 1.4rpg in 13 games.

   #10. Malik Cooke (6'7''-F-89, graduated '12, plays pro in France) helped Saint Chamond Basket Valle du Gier win their game against one of league's weakest teams Caen 85-77 in the French ProB (second division) in Tuesday night's game. Cooke recorded 14 points. This season he averages 9.9ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg.
