Here is the weekly review of the top performing Terrapins alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. James Gist (6'9''-C/F-86, graduated '08, plays pro in Greece) was the major contributor in Panathinaikos' victory against the league outsider Darussafaka (1-12) 75-67 in the Euroleague last Friday. He scored 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 27 minutes. Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens (6-7) is placed ninth in the Euroleague. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Gist's seventh season with the team. This year Gist averages 7.8ppg and 3.9rpg in 13 games he played so far.

   #2. Kevin Huerter (6'7''-G-98, graduated '18, plays in the NBA) could not help the Atlanta Hawks (7-23) in their last game on Friday. Despite Huerter's very good performance the Atlanta Hawks (7-23) were crushed 129-108 on the road by the Boston Celtics. He was the top scorer with 19 points. Huerter also added made 3 passes and 3 steals. Huerter has relatively good stats this season 7.2ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.2apg.

   #3. Haukur Palsson (6'6''-SF-92, graduated '11, currently in France), who plays in France was not able to help JSF Nanterre (4-5) in their last game. Despite his very good performance JSF Nanterre lost 68-79 in Tenerife to the leading CB Canarias. Palsson was the top scorer with 16 points in 25 minutes. Palsson has relatively good stats this year 14.2ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.9apg and 1.3spg in 10 games.

   #4. Damonte Dodd (6'11''-F-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Poland) was not able to secure a victory for GTK Gliwice (4-6) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance GTK Gliwice was defeated 113-98 in Torun by the much higher-ranked Twarde Pierniki (#3). Dodd recorded 12 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Dodd's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 10.8ppg, 7.7rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1bpg.

   #5. Jin-Soo Choi (6'8''-C/F-89, graduated '11, plays in South Korea) couldn't help Goyang Orions (9-15) in their game against KT Sonicboom (15-9) in the South Korean KBL, despite his very good performance last Wednesday. He was the second best scorer with 19 points. Choi also added 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 37 minutes. But Goyang Orions were edged 91-90 in Busan by the second-ranked KT Sonicboom. It's Choi's eighth season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg in 24 games.

   #6. Alex Len (7'1''-C-93, graduated '13, currently in the NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kevin Huerter. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Len led Atlanta Hawks to a victory against the Washington Wizards 118-110. He scored 15 points, had 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Len has relatively good stats this season 9.5ppg and 4.8rpg.

   #7. Melo Trimble (6'3''-G-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Australia) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Cairns Taipans in their game against New Zealand Breakers in the Australian NBL, despite his very good performance last Sunday. He was the top scorer with 23 points. Trimble also added made 6 passes and 3 steals in 33 minutes. But his team lost 78-89. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Trimble averages 22.2ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.7apg and 1.3spg in 12 games.

   #8. Adrian Bowie (6'3''-PG-89, graduated '11, plays in Georgia) led Mgzavrebi to a victory over the closely-ranked BC Titebi 87-78 in a derby game in the Georgian Superleague on Saturday night. Bowie was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 12 rebounds. Bowie also added 6 assists and 3 steals. This season he has very high stats. Bowie averages 20.8ppg, 9.0rpg, 5.0apg, 1.2bpg and 1.8spg.

   #9. Experienced D.J. Strawberry (6'5''-SG-85, graduated '07, currently in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Joventut 83-68 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Strawberry scored 14 points in a mere 18 minutes. He has relatively good stats this year 11.1ppg, 2.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg in 12 games. Strawberry is a naturalized Cameroonian.

   #10. Diamond Stone (6'11''-C/F-97, graduated '16, plays pro in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Iowa Wolves in their game against the Austin Spurs in the NBA G League. Despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game Stone was the second best scorer with 22 points. He also added 9 rebounds. Stone has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg and 5.4rpg.
