The college basketball scene is varied from the top names in the NCAA rankings to the small colleges in JUCO. This is the path the majority of the players undertake en route to the pro basketball. Some of the top ranked colleges in the country are well-known to open the doors for the high-schoolers to pave their way into the pro sport. Kentucky for instance is the sole leader in that category as they produced the highest number of alumni turning basketball pro in the country. There is also a strong correlation between the level of the university basketball program to the number of their alumni turning pro.
