Koprivica
Florida State landed the pledge of Montverde (Fla.) Montverde Academy four-star center Balsa Koprivica (216-C-00) on Friday evening, just a few days after he concluded his official visit to the Seminoles. Koprivica announced his pledge via twitter. He chose the Seminoles over Baylor, Gonzaga, Providence and more. Koprivica, who is a native of Belgrade, Serbia, is entering his second season at Montverde Academy. He was previously at University School in Fort Lauderdale (Fla.). He has spent the entirety of his high school career in the United States. 247Sports.com Recruiting Analyst Brian Snow chimed in on Koprivica's game: 'At roughly 7-feet tall with skill and mobility, Koprivica has all of the tools to be a very effective big man at the college level. He has good hands, can hit shots out to 15 feet, and also has the ability to rebound both in and out of his area. Koprivica has struggled at times with consistency, but Leonard Hamilton and his staff are convinced they are going to be able to get the best out him, and get him to his potential ceiling, which is significant.' The 247Sports.com Composite ranks the 7-foot, 240-pound big man as the No. 56 overall prospect and No. 15 center in the nation. Koprivica is the fourth pledge for the Seminoles in their 2019 class. He joins Charlotte (N.C.) West Charlotte four-star wing Patrick Williams, Tallahassee (Fla.) Maclay School four-star small forward Zimife Nwokeji and junior college guard Nathanael Jack, who is currently playing at Eastern Florida State College in Cocoa, Fla.
