Koprivica
Florida State landed the pledge of Montverde (Fla.) Montverde Academy four-star center Balsa Koprivica (216-C-00) on Friday evening, just a few days after he concluded his official visit to the Seminoles. Koprivica announced his pledge via twitter. He chose the Seminoles over Baylor, Gonzaga, Providence and more. Koprivica, who is a native of Belgrade, Serbia, is entering his second season at Montverde Academy. He was previously at University School in Fort Lauderdale (Fla.). He has spent the entirety of his high school career in the United States. 247Sports.com Recruiting Analyst Brian Snow chimed in on Koprivica's game: 'At roughly 7-feet tall with skill and mobility, Koprivica has all of the tools to be a very effective big man at the college level. He has good hands, can hit shots out to 15 feet, and also has the ability to rebound both in and out of his area. Koprivica has struggled at times with consistency, but Leonard Hamilton and his staff are convinced they are going to be able to get the best out him, and get him to his potential ceiling, which is significant.' The 247Sports.com Composite ranks the 7-foot, 240-pound big man as the No. 56 overall prospect and No. 15 center in the nation. Koprivica is the fourth pledge for the Seminoles in their 2019 class. He joins Charlotte (N.C.) West Charlotte four-star wing Patrick Williams, Tallahassee (Fla.) Maclay School four-star small forward Zimife Nwokeji and junior college guard Nathanael Jack, who is currently playing at Eastern Florida State College in Cocoa, Fla.

700 recently graduate players signed with the agents - 1 day ago
Summer is always the most busy time for the players who look for the pro contracts. It applies especially to just graduated players, who want to take their first steps in pro basketball. NBA has only 60 openings for newcomers. U.S. based pro and semi-pro leagues have also limited number. But most of the players who jump from colleges to pro basketball find their first postings overseas. And the most important step here is to sign with the agent. Currently there are exactly 700 college pla...   [read more]

USC grad transfer Thornton picks Boston College over Gonzaga - 2 days ago
Derryck Thornton (6'2''-G-97) is heading back to the ACC. On Monday, multiple reports surfaced that the USC grad transfer and former Duke point guard would be heading to Boston College for his final season of eligibility. Thornton was a five-star prospect as a high school junior, opting to leave school and enroll at Duke a year early. He was a part of the class that also included Brandon Ingram, Luke Kennard and Chase Jeter, but he left the program after one up-and-down year that saw him...   [read more]

John Calipari has signed a new long-term contract at Kentucky that is worth $86 million and will enable him to end his coaching career in Lexington. Kentucky made the announcement Thursday after it was reported back in early April that the school had offered him a lifetime contract after he had spoken to UCLA about their coaching vacancy.
