Todd Brown
TODD BROWN

St. John's Edge (NBL Canada) tabbed 30-year old American guard Todd Brown (196-92kg-87, college: Wright State). He played in the summer at Mid-American Unity (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. Brown managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). He ended the last season at Penarol (LigaA) where in 15 games he averaged 14.5ppg, 4.3rpg and 3.7apg. But the most of that year Brown spent at Trouville (LUB) in league. In 20 games he had very impressive stats: 15.6ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.5apg.
Among other achievements his team made it to the Austrian Bundesliga A Semifinals in 2012. Brown received also Eurobasket.com All-Finnish Korisliiga 2nd Team award back in 2014.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Brown experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Brown has played previously professionally in Germany (Phoenix Hagen), Greece (Arkadikos), Holland, Mexico, Argentina (Obras Basket) and ABA (Cleveland P.).
He attended Wright State until 2010 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Brown's outlook: A player with a great resume. A vet player who has definitely been around. A rugged competitor who has been described as 'tough as nails' by opposing coaches. Has an excellent ability to score at high levels. Plays hard at both ends as seen by the fact that he has been named both all-league and all defensive selections. Can shut down opposing backcourt players if needed or raise his offensive game if needed. Sees the floor well and has spent time at all backcourt positions but is best going between the 2-3 spots. Shoots it well with good range and is quick getting up and down the floor. No weaknesses in his game. Is a great leader on the floor and almost acts as an on court coach. Great team player and a real pleasure to play alongside.

Magic Comes out on Top in OT Thriller - 1 day ago
Finishing on a high note. The Moncton Magic finish the regular season with a historic 27-13 record. There are many ups and downs experienced through a 40-game season, including player turnover, injuries, a lack of team chemistry, etc. In spite of that, the Magic have remained a motivated tightknit group that has been professional, resilient, and successful. After running through the KW Titans on March 23rd, the Moncton Magic follow it up by coming back and beating the Windsor Express in O...   [read more]

The Halifax Hurricanes controlled all four quarters of Wednesday night's blowout win over the Windsor Express at Scotiabank Centre, cruising to a 144-77 victory. Halifax caught fire in the second quarter, racking up 44 points in the frame, then limited the Express to just 13 points in the third.
