Clifford
Clinkscales
Halifax Hurricanes (NBL Canada) confirmed in their roster 33-year old American point guard Clifford Clinkscales (185-84, college: De Paul). He has played there for the last two seasons. In 54 NBL Canada games he had 5.5ppg, 2.9rpg, 8.3apg (leader !!!) and 1.4spg last season. Clinkscales helped them to win the NBL Atlantic Division title.
In 2008 he was drafted by Erie BayHawks (D-League) in ninth round (135th overall).
The former De Paul University standoutis in his tenth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Clinkscales was voted USBasket.com All-NBL Canada Honorable Mention in 2016.
He has played also professionally in NBA G League (Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Erie Bay Hawks) and ABL (Panama City B.).
Clinkscales could be described: A pure point guard, who knows how to get a team offense more in sync. He can put every teammate at his natural positions and pass the ball at the right time. Also, he defends well on the perimeter.
