This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Wellness C. (0-4) to fourth ranked Space Jam (2-2) 60-58 on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Spencer Kerssies (208) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman OJ Watson contributed with 13 points for the winners. point guard Michael Hamilton (193) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds for Wellness C.Space Jam moved-up to third place, which they share with 519ers. Wellness C. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with four games lost. Space Jam is looking forward to face 519ers (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Wellness C. will play against Switchn' Clips and hopes to get finally their first victory.
An interesting game for Grizzlies (4-0) which played road game in against their biggest opponent 519ers (2-2). Top-ranked Grizzlies managed to get a 13-point victory 59-46. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Lance Drummonds (188, college: St.Clair) who helped to win the game recording 7 points and 10 rebounds and Zach Angelini who added 15 points during the contest. At the losing side point guard Nathan Samuel (183) responded with 25 points. Grizzlies maintains first position with 4-0 record. 519ers at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Space Jam. Grizzlies will play against league's second-placed Spurs in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. 519ers will play against Space Jam and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
