Parlez De Nous set out during the Fall League with the goal of capturing both the Advanced and Rec. Division Championships and on Tuesday night they did just that! All in attendance were treated to two thrilling games that will go down in NBBL History. PDN becomes the first organization to win the title in two separate divisions. The first game of the night featured (1) Parlez De Nous vs (3) Friendship Group. PDN jumped out to an early lead that they would not relinquish en route to the title. Friendship Group made a few timely runs however the deficit establish in the first seven minutes proved too tough a task to overcome. The duo of Jamar Coke (5'11''-G) and Roland Gaulton continued their great play knocking down sensational three's and highlight reel plays. Faisel Bello and Rex Gaulton were key as well. Jordan Nelson and Anthony Thomas led the Friendship Group in scoring.
After the terrific start to the night with the Rec. Division Championship, the Advanced Division was a scintillating game that went right down to the final seconds. (2) Monstars and (1) PDN fought back and forth with the lead changing numerous times Throughout the game. Jonathan Maxwell (6'4''-G/F-82) knocked down a huge three with 26 seconds remaining to put PDN up by two points, then a steal on the next possession and fast break lay-up by league MVP, Manny Campbell (5'11''-PG) sealed the victory for PDN, completing their undefeated season. Campbell and Dwayne Harvey (5'10''-PG) led the way for PDN as they have all season. Ryan Christie (6'7''-PF-90) and Cam Michaud were terrific for the Monstars in a tough loss. We saw Ryan Christie really elevate his game to another level in the Championship game and throughout the season. Unfortunately with the absence of Andrew Cicuttini (6'7''-F) to their front line, Christie's efforts were just not enough. These teams have developed a great rivalry and it will be great to see them go toe-to-toe again as PDN will look to defend their titles in the summer 2017!
