Washington Wizards waived 25-year old 6-3 guard Jared Butler (college: Baylor). He also played for another NBA team the Wizards earlier that season. The other team he played shortly were another NBA team the Wizards.
Three years ago he was drafted by New Orleans Pelicans in second round (40th overall). The former Baylor University star is in his fourth season in pro basketball.
He has played previously for eight other teams: Utah Jazz, OKC Thunder, SLC Stars, OKC Blue, Grand Rapids Gold, Capital City Go-Go, OKC Thunder and Utah Jazz.
Among many awards he won NBA Northwest Division championship title in 2022. Butler received Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Semifinalist award and Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award Finalist award back in 2021 at his college time.
