The Pacers waived Mathias

Dakota Mathias

The Indiana Pacers waived 28-year-old ex-international 6-4 guard Dakota Mathias, who played for Purdue in college. He had also played for the Pacers earlier that season.
He has never been drafted by the NBA.
Mathias represented the USA at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) seven years ago. His team won Silver, and he averaged almost 12 points per game.
He is a very experienced player. Mathias has played professionally in Germany (ratiopharm Ulm), Spain (Joventut and Tenerife), and other NBA teams (Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Memphis Grizzlies), NBA G League (Texas Legends, Memphis Hustle, and G League Ignite), and NBA Summer League (LA Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Utah Jazz, Utah Jazz White).
He won the NBA Summer League championship title in Salt Lake City in 2021.
Mathias graduated from Purdue University in 2018 and it's his seventh season in pro basketball.
