Washington Wizards signed 23-year old guard Jared Butler (6'3''-194lbs-1999, college: Baylor) on a two-way deal. Butler played this summer at OKC Thunder. In three NBA Summer League games just recently he had very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 1.3rpg, 5.3apg and 1.3spg. He also played for the Thunder where in three NBA Summer League games he recorded 11.7ppg, 2.3rpg, 4.0apg and 1.3spg.
Two years ago he was drafted by New Orleans Pelicans in second round (40 th overall). Butler graduated from Baylor University in 2021 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.
He has played previously for six other teams: Utah Jazz, SLC Stars, OKC Blue, Grand Rapids Gold, Utah Jazz and Utah Jazz. he was also voted USBWA All-District VII Player of the Year in 2020 and 2021.
Butler won NBA Northwest Division championship title in 2022.
