ALEXIS AJINCA

ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (ProA) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old former French international center Alexis Ajinca (215-100kg-88). He already started the season at New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA. Ajinca has played there for the last six years. The last season he was tested by the Pelicans in NBA.
In 2008 Ajinca was drafted by Charlotte Bobcats (NBA) in first round (20th overall).
Among other achievements he played in the final of French ProA in 2013. Ajinca was selected to French ProA All-Star Game back in 2013 and 2014.
He was also a member of French international program for some years. Ajinca played for French Senior National Team between 2008 and 2016 and previously for U19 National Team in 2007.
He represented France at the European Championships in Slovenia five years ago. Ajinca's team won Gold and his stats at that event were 11 games: 9.1ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.3bpg, FGP: 54.5%, FT: 69.6%.
Ajinca has played also professionally in NBA (Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and Maine Red Claws) and France (Pau Lacq Orthez, Levallois, SIG Strasbourg, Hyeres-Toulon and CFBB).
