Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA) agreed terms with 26-year old guard Dezmine Wells (196-98kg-92, college: Maryland). It is actually his comeback to the Thunder as he has played here before. Wells played last season at Sidigas Avellino in Italian Serie A. He managed to play in three leagues last year. In 31 Serie A games he had 11.7ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.7apg. Wells also played 8 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 11.3ppg and 2.0rpg. He helped them to make it to the cup final. And finally Wells contributed to 12 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 10.9ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg.
The most of previous (2016-17) season Wells spent at OKC Blue. In 29 League games he got 12.9ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.1apg and 1.4spg. He contributed to his team winning the D- Southwest Division title. The other team Wells played that season for was Doxa Lefkadas (B) in league. In 9 games he got impressive 16.8ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.0apg. He was also named League Player of the Week.
Wells has never been drafted by the NBA.
He was voted All-Big Ten 1st Team back in 2015 at his college time.
Wells graduated from University of Maryland in 2015 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
