DWIGHT HOWARD

Washington Wizards inked 32-year old former international center Dwight Howard (211-120kg-85). He was about to sign at played at Brooklyn Nets. The last season Howard played at the Hornets where in 81 NBA games he averaged impressive 16.6ppg, 12.5rpg (#4 in the league), 1.3apg and 1.6bpg.
In 2004 Orlando Magic selected him as first overall pick in NBA draft. Howard has never attended the college and entered pro basketball just after his high school.
Among other achievements Howard's team made it to the NBA Semifinals in 2015. He received also All-NBA 2nd Team award back in 2014. Howard was a member of USA Senior National Team between 2006 and 2015.
He has spent his entire career in NBA playing for three other teams: Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and LA Lakers.
Howard's game is described as: An athletic forward with great leaping skills, quick hands, and court vision; is a good ball handler, passes well, has shooting touch; needs to improve his moves inside and his play back to the basket; has huge NBA upside for both the forward positions;
Outlook (by NBADraft.TK):
Positives: Very athletic player who loves to play above the rim. Extremely good agility and quickness for a big man. Runs the floor well and gets as high as any player with his combination of length and hops. What makes Dwight Howard truly unique to the other highschool athletic freaks is his exception ball handling, passing, and shooting. Add those attributes to his already great size, athleticism, speed and you have a phenomenally great talent. Excellent rebounding and shot blocking skills. Basically Howard is gifted in almost every facet of the game.
Negatives: Could get stronger. Right now he completely dominates the smaller players in highschool, but once he gets into the NBA, he will have to face bigger opponents. Still could improve his low post game. In the post he plays like Amare Stoudemire (in his rookie season), utilizing his athleticism to dominate his opponents more than his skills and low post moves

George scores 33 to help Thunder top Clippers 110-104 - 1 day ago
Paul George (6'9''-G/F-90, college: Fresno St.) rendered the Los Angeles Clippers' traps and double-teams useless. Oklahoma City's forward shredded the Clippers for 33 points, seven rebounds and six assists in a 110-104 victory on Saturday night. "I'm fine being trapped," George said. "That's where we're going to need our guys the most - for them to make plays out of it. Honestly, I think that's the easiest way for me to get myself going because I make those plays early. And we burn them,...   [read more]
