Greg Monroe
GREG MONROE

Boston Celtics signed 28-year old center Greg Monroe (211-106kg-90, college: Georgetown) to a 10-day deal. It is actually his comeback to the Celtics as he has played here before. Monroe started the season at Toronto Raptors. In 38 NBA games he had 4.8ppg and 4.1rpg this season. The last season Monroe played at the Celtics where in 37 NBA games he recorded 8.6ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.7apg. Monroe helped them to make it to the conference final. He also played for the Suns. In 20 NBA games he averaged 11.3ppg, 8.0rpg and 2.5apg. The other team Monroe played shortly were the Bucks. In 5 NBA games he got 6.8ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.0apg.
In 2010 Monroe was drafted by Detroit Pistons in first round (7th overall). The former Georgetown University standoutis in his ninth season in pro basketball.
Monroe was selected to NBA All-Star Game All-Rookie Team back in 2011.
He has played previously for Milwaukee Bucks.
Monroe could be described: A center with the passing skills and the court vision of a point guard. Hes a true high post artist, without the classic rebounding and intimidating skills of a true center. Not the typical NBA inside operator, but a great player who can elevate the game of his team if he will find the right situation and teammates.
