The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last day. The day ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games. Here is the last day review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last day was another loss of top-ranked Long Island Nets (22-12) in Uniondale on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Blue Coats (12-19) 109-107. Blue Coats looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for forward Ryan Anderson (206-92, college: Arizona) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 18 rebounds. Rashad Vaughn (198-96, college: UNLV) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Alan Williams (203-93, college: UCSB) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for Long Island Nets. Blue Coats maintains fourth place with 12-19 record. Long Island Nets at the other side still keep top position with 12 games lost.
Second-ranked Salt Lake City Stars (16-18) were very close to win a game against first ranked Rio Grande Valley Vipers (24-12) in Hidalgo. Rio Grande Valley Vipers managed to secure only one-point victory 103-102. However their fans expected easier game. It was a great evening for German power forward Isaiah Hartenstein (211-98) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists. Jacobi Boykins helped adding 24 points and 7 rebounds. Rio Grande Valley Vipers' coach used entire bench in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Tyler Cavanaugh (206-94, college: G.Washington) with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Rio Grande Valley Vipers maintains first place with 24-12 record. Salt Lake City Stars lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with 18 games lost. They share it with Grand Rapids D.. Rio Grande Valley Vipers will play against Lakers (#4) in Los Angeles in the next day. Salt Lake City Stars will play at home against the league's leader Warriors and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Washington between Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Capital City Go-Go. Second ranked Fort Wayne Mad Ants (18-15) got a very close victory on the road over their close opponent Capital City Go-Go (18-15). Fort Wayne Mad Ants managed to escape with a 3-point win 121-118 in the game for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was an exceptional evening for Alize Johnson who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. Chris Chiozza came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists for Capital City Go-Go in the defeat. Fort Wayne Mad Ants keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Capital City Go-Go. Fort Wayne Mad Ants will meet at home league's second-placed Windy City Bulls in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week. Capital City Go-Go will have a break next day.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Clippers (15-17) against fourth ranked Wolves (13-23) on Thursday night. Host Clippers were defeated by Wolves in a tough game in Ontario 114-120. The best player for the winners was Hakim Warrick who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Wolves have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 13-23 record, which they share with Texas L. Clippers at the other side keep the third position with 17 games lost. Wolves will have a break next day. Clippers will play on the road against the league's second-placed Sioux Falls Skyforce and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Portland supposed to be also quite interesting. 4th placed Greensboro Swarm (16-17) played at the court of fifth ranked Maine Red Claws (12-21). Maine Red Claws smashed Greensboro Swarm 121-98 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Greensboro Swarm. It was a good game for PJ Dozier who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 assists. Greensboro Swarm's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Maine Red Claws moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Canton C. Loser Greensboro Swarm keeps the fourth position with 17 games lost.



Rio Grande VV - Salt Lake City S. 103-102

Second-ranked Salt Lake City Stars (16-18) were very close to win a game against first ranked Rio Grande Valley Vipers (24-12) in Hidalgo. Rio Grande Valley Vipers managed to secure only one-point victory 103-102. However their fans expected easier game. Rio Grande Valley Vipers forced 20 Salt Lake City Stars turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Rio Grande Valley Vipers brought some defensive toughness making 12 blocks. It was a great evening for German power forward Isaiah Hartenstein (211-98) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists. Very important is a home loss of third ranked Clippers (15-17) against fourth ranked Wolves (13-23) on Thursday night. Host Clippers were defeated by Wolves in a tough game in Ontario 114-120. Wolves dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Clippers' 54. The best player for the winners was forward Hakim Warrick (206-82, college: Syracuse) who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Guard Marquise Moore (188-94, college: George Mason) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was U.S. Virgin Islands forward Desi Rodriguez (198-96, college: Seton Hall) who recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) added 30 points and 7 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively.
