The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Fort Wayne Mad Ants as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fort Wayne Mad Ants smashed top-ranked Long Island Nets at home 140-119. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Long Island Nets. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Fort Wayne Mad Ants shot 60.8 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Fort Wayne Mad Ants looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. It was a good game for forward Alize Johnson (206-96, college: Missouri St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Tra-Deon Hollins (188-95, college: Omaha) contributed with 19 points and 10 assists for the winners. Bosnian Dzanan Musa (200-99, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for Long Island Nets. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. which they share with defeated Long Island Nets. Long Island Nets at the other side still keep top place with 11 games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Ontario. The best for the losing side was Dominican forward Angel Delgado (206-94, college: Seton Hall) with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hustle maintains third position with 19-15 record having just 2 victories less than leader Santa Cruz W. which they share with defeated Clippers. Clippers at the other side keep the third place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Greensboro S..
