The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeat the Westchester Knicks 115-91, in front of a home crowd at the RP Funding Center. The Magic pulled ahead early and were up by as many as 14 points in the quarter to take a 10 point (29-19) lead into the second. The early Magic lead was largely in part to Antonio Campbell (6'9''-F-94, college: Ohio)'s hot hand off the bench with 8 points in just 4:17 minutes played. The Knicks were also 0-5 from the three-point line, compared to Lakeland's 4-10. The second quarter was a back and forth battle but the Knicks were outscored 25-20 in the quarter which would build upon the Magic's lead. Amile Jefferson (6'9''-F-93, college: Duke) was a key factor with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the first half alone. The Magic would lead the Knicks 54-39 heading into the locker room. The Magic continued to pour on the points in the third quarter. Gabe York (6'3''-G-93, college: Arizona) was 2 for 3 from the three-point-line with 10 points in the quarter to help increase the Magic lead to 29 and what would be the largest of the night. The Knicks fought hard in the fourth with an even scoring matchup but Magic had built a solid lead and kept the momentum throughout the remainder of the game for a final score 115-91. For the Magic, Amile Jefferson had his ninth double-double of the season with 21 points and 18 rebounds. Gabe York led the team in scoring with 25 points. Antonio Campbell came off the bench to score 16 points and 8 rebounds. John Petrucelli (6'4''-F-92, college: Molloy) had 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. John Jenkins (6'4''-G-91, college: Vanderbilt, agency: BeoBasket) posted 19 points for the Knicks. Assignment Player, Courtney Lee (6'5''-G/F-85, college: W.Kentucky) had 16 points and 7 rebounds. Kadeem Allen had 13 points and 5 rebounds. Billy Garrett (6'6''-G-94, college: De Paul) had 12 points and 4 rebounds and Isaiah Hicks had 10 points and 4 rebounds. The Magic are back home again on Saturday, December 15. The game will be at the RP Funding Center at 7PM, as the Magic face off against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Chris Boucher(6'10''-C/F-93, college: Oregon) is an athletic, skilled big man that has an intriguing set of skills that could allow him to be a solid pick for an NBA team in the upcoming draft. He possesses fairly good scoring skills. Boucher really excels at scoring on the move, as he can garner the bulk of his scores using off-ball movement. He plays far above the rim, which can allow him to throw down numerous dunks in games. It's easy enough to see why Boucher is able to block so m...   [read more]
