JUSTIN HARPER

South Bay Lakers agreed terms with 29-year old forward Justin Harper (208-102kg-89, college: Richmond). He played last season at ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket in French ProA. In 37 games he had 8.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.3apg. Harper also played 16 games in Eurocup where he recorded 9.7ppg and 2.8rpg.
Part of previous (2016-17) season he spent at Global Port (PBA) in league. In four games he averaged impressive 25.8ppg, 11.5rpg and 1.0apg. The other team Harper played shortly were the 76ers. In two NBA games he got 6.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.0apg.
In 2011 he was drafted by Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) in second round (32nd overall). Harper attended University of Richmond and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won D-League Pacific Division championship title in 2017. Harper was selected to D-League All-Star Game in 2016 and 2017.
He is quite experienced player. Harper has played in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally also in Israel, Italy and other NBA teams (Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic) and France (SIG Strasbourg).
Harper could be described: Has excellent size for the power forward position. Above average athlete, as well, with decent quickness in the open floor and good explosiveness around the basket. Most effective spotting up around the perimeter, where he finds over a quarter of his possessions. Lightning quick release and a consistent, fluid shooting motion. Solid basketball IQ.
